Welcome!

edit

Hello, Gpryor26, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Gay American Indians

edit

You have completely replaced the contents of Gay American Indians without discussion. I know you come from a class, so I assume you haven't been told this is poor practice/have been told you have free roam of your chosen article, but this is not true. Please try to re-incorporate the text you removed or at least open a discussion on the talk page about what must have been so wrong with the original text that you didn't even improve it, just removed it. I apologize, I was rushing to complete my project for a deadline and completely skipped over the proper Wikipedia etiquette. Thank you for alerting me to this. I have added comments to the talk page to explain my changes, and would of course welcome further feedback there. Gpryor26 (talk) 19:14, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia isn't a class project, it's a collaborative encyclopedia. (I'm not annoyed at you, just the fact you've been encouraged to edit this way.) Kingsif (talk) 22:48, 11 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
