I know you've been around since 2008, but you've never been welcomed. Let me remedy that with some boilerplate.

That said, why did you remove my explanation of the caption from Aesop? DS (talk) 16:41, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

== Hi and thanks for the message. Actually been around MUCH longer than that; only created a login&username when I decided the pinhole camera text needed rewriting, for the sake of clarity. Often don't bother logging in when I'm just correcting a typo.

"why did you remove my explanation of the caption from Aesop? DS (talk) 16:41, 7 December 2009 (UTC)"

My apologies if you feel that I "damaged" your text. I removed it because the second sentence is irrelevant, being merely standard typographic form of the period, and potentially misleading: "Esopus" can hardly be considered an "alternate" (i.e. alternative) spelling for use today, merely a medieval form.

How about writing

Note the medieval spelling "Esopus", with a long s and truncated 'p'. (Gpeterw (talk) 13:46, 14 December 2009 (UTC))Reply
Good enough; recommended change has been implemented. DS (talk) 17:44, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Verifying edit

Currently it says "The old main entrance to the Promenade Hospital", and it should say "The old main entrance to the Southport Hospital" ? Is that it? DS (talk) 16:43, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's for the map just below "missing operand" Gpeterw (talk) 12:38, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Many thanks. I used to have no difficulty editing Wiki, but with age . . . I just could not find where to put the bibliography entry. And then fatigue took over. gpeterw (talk) 09:30, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
