Commercial use of Image:Paulhay.jpg edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Paulhay.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Paulhay.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Paulhay.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Yet, if you wish to be in constant contact with me and have me go over your work with you each day or so, then thats who i will be. This is your choice, just please let me know :P

Also if you could please remove the adoptee userbox from your userpage so that others know you have been adopted. If you like you can replace it with this user box: inserted

Wikipedia edit

I'm glad that you have decided to join the Adoption Program, it is an amazing learning experience that can teach you everything from the basic edits to the more complex templates and overall design of articles. There are three major ways to improve your editing skills... finding another article that does what you need to do and learn from that example, read the advice Wikipedia offers in many of their policy and guildline pages and lastly ask editors who are more experienced in the areas you wish to learn about. You can navigate Wikipedia better by either checking out my userpage, which has a lot of links to Wikipedia help links, or use the search with "WP:" first and then what you are looking for(if its a wikipedia policy), for example WP:ADOPT. A list of these shortcuts can also be found here. You can find most template messages here. they are broken up into categories such as disputes on pages, maintenance on pages and warnings for vandals. A good way to learn what some of the templates mean and how to fix them is to check out my talk page. There you can find a "things that need to be done" box that lists articles that have certain problems... if you click on the name of the problem, such as wikify, cleanup or style that needs to be improved. There are many more topics and once you understand what they are and read through their suggestions for fixing it you may then start to click into those articles on the list and correct them yourself! This can start right away with things like wikify (as its easily corrected with ensuring there are internal links, no plagiarized material and that the article is properly formated as explained in the Manual of Style) where as expanding random articles and starting new ones will have to be something we build up to. I am more then happy to review your work with you. I suggest you check out the page on subpages and create one for testing. In a nutshell, a subpage is a page for your personal development of articles so that you can save them and work on them without having them saved on the main Wikipedia. If you have trouble creating a subpage, let me know. I can help with your user page, just let me know what things you want on it or what functionality you wish for it to have. I expect you to come to me when you need help and ask questions whenever you have a doubt about something or need advice. Please dont sit around unsure of what to do or how to do it, I'm here for you! I'll be able to help you learn in all 3 ways explained above. When you come to me, I will explain to you why and how to do what your asking about, direct you where you can find more information to read about and provide you with an example to check out. As far as what you have to do or what jobs I give you... thats completely up to you. If you would like me to give you little projects to work on, I can do that. Yet, if you want me to help you out on something else you wish to improve, just let me know. This adoption is 100% for you and will be as awesome as you want it to be! Good luck my friend, let me know if you have any questions and where you would like to go from here. Also, be sure to sign all your comments with "~~~~" it will automatically sign your name for you and give the time.

Marek Tomana edit

your edits look good, yet take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources and be sure to add a reference when your adding material to an article so that all others realize that your contributions are fact and not your opinion or made up. simply put the url after the contribution in <ref></ref> tags and then add <references/> at the end of the article. Here is an example.

Gorillamusic participates in editing wikipedia[1].

References

so everything was cool, just keep in mind when you edit, that its best to include sources with it.

Match template edit

Nah, that proposal was a while ago, and has since been completely overtaken by the format used on articles such as FA Cup Final 2007. Try that instead.  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 22:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Gary Muir edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Gary Muir, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Gorillamusic! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Sean Roycroft - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
