Fair use rationale for Image:Albertvonthurnundtaxis.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Albertvonthurnundtaxis.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Marquise of Bellavista edit

Hola:

¿Estás seguro de haber usado awarded en el artículo de Alicia Koplowitz? Sucede que, por lo que sé, eso se referirá más a un premio. La idea es decir que el título se lo cedió.

Saludos,

--Gonzaloluengo 14:57, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Estuve pensando en yielded pero gave es mas exacto. Corregido. Gracias. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 15:03, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cadence Spalding edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Cadence Spalding, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.marslasar.com/cadencespalding.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:06, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ancestry of the Duke of Vastergotland edit

Hello! Please see WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. The article about the Duke of Vastergotland does not need an ancestry chart just because there is an ancestry chart in the article about the Princess of Asturias. In fact, the ancestry chart should be (and will be) removed from the article about the Princess of Asturias. See also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a directory. Can we really expect that a reader would come to the article looking for the name of his father's mother's mother's father? Cheers, Surtsicna (talk) 18:13, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:NOT is not against ancestry charts if the ancestors are notable and if having one is actually useful. For example, the ancestors of the King of Sweden are all notable and his ancestry is what makes him king, so the article about him should have an ancestry chart. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:56, 23 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 08:56, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for March 10 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Stoneface & Terminal, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Above & Beyond and John O’Callaghan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Stoneface & Terminal edit

The article Stoneface & Terminal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be a notable band; no secondary references provided and no claims of appearing in any national music charts.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. power~enwiki (π, ν) 00:12, 26 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
