Welcome edit

I noticed that you've been editing some health-related articles recently. A bunch of us hang out at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine. It's a good place to ask questions about good sources for medical content and appropriate writing style. Please consider putting the page on your watchlist, or stop by to say hello some time. WhatamIdoing (talk) 18:57, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have no specific interest in medicine, although I am fascinated by biology. I mostly just edit what Wikipedia recommends, which I guess is a lot of health-related stuff. I checked the WikiProject out and it seems like a very nice community. I'll definitely explore it some more when I have a bit more time. Cheers and thanks :D! GoldRomean (talk) 23:25, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, that subject has been dominating some of the recommended tasks recently. It seems to vary over time. Some time there's no particular theme. WhatamIdoing (talk) 00:12, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Interesting! GoldRomean (talk) 01:35, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

HI!!! edit

why can I not adopt a user??? 😕 Lilly is cool (talk) 17:24, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Technically, you can, but you should probably gain more experience before trying to help others. I really appreciate your enthusiasm, though! GoldRomean (talk) 17:26, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
WAIT... I can??? Lilly is cool (talk) 17:29, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
One of the rules of the Adopt-a-user page is that "Adopters should have sufficient experience before they start adopting," so I wouldn't recommend that you do so. If you really want to help new users (even though you really are one), you can place welcome messages on new users' pages with the appropriate template like I did on your talk page. Also, please try not to edit other users' user pages. GoldRomean (talk) 17:31, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
oh... well you just made me sad... Lilly is cool (talk) 17:35, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry. Continue to productively edit Wikipedia, and once you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's guidelines more and get to 500 edits and 90 days, you can enroll in the mentorship program, which, as opposed to the Adopt-a-user program, is for brand new users. You can also visit the Teahouse and help out new users with any questions they may have, and consider playing the Wikipedia Adventure. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 17:57, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Help pls edit

I need help, i don't know where I can get user boxes and/or make my own, so I need help... Lilly is cool (talk) 18:23, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is the only one I know about
 This user is a lesbian.
Lilly is cool (talk) 18:38, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I'm unable to access a compute right now, so I can't provide links or anything. If you search up Wikipedia Userboxes, you should find a page that gives you information on them and gives you a list of them and info on how to create them. Just copy the squiggly bracket stuff into your user page Template:Like this (be sure to use source editor, not visual editor) and it should appear. I'll get back to you in a bit if you need clarification or anything. Cheers! GoldRomean (talk) 21:41, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I meant "Template:Like this". GoldRomean (talk) 21:41, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Whatever. I'll figure it out later. GoldRomean (talk) 21:42, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I got it. To make a userbox, you should probably use the userbox maker. If you want to find other userboxes, go here, where you can find different collections of userboxes sorted by topic. So, say I want a userbox about my involvement in Wikipedia. I might go to this, find this, and then this. If I wanted to use the first userbox on the page, "This user is a Wikipedian", I would take the Wikitext, "{{User wikipedia}}", and copy that into my user page (using SOURCE editor, not VISUAL editor), and it would show
 This user is a Wikipedian.
. Hope that helps. GoldRomean (talk) 22:21, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

hi everyone.. I'm Deep Kumar from india live in japan I'm here go to tell you about Japan and japanese language and about Culture. --Deep0322 (talk) 21:36, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! While I'm glad that you're enthusiastic about Wikipedia, please remember that Wikipedia is not a social networking site. Maybe try improving some articles about Japan instead? Check out the Manual of Style and other editing guidelines, and then consider joining WikiProject Japan. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 21:52, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Jdlentini on Jeffrey Dahmer (21:40, 13 May 2024) edit

Hello. I’d like to add on Jeffrey Dahmer’s page that he raped two soldiers when he was in the military. They’ve come out and spoken about it in a documentary. --Jdlentini (talk) 21:40, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Jdlentini If the documentary is reliable (and, possibly, if you can find other reliable sources), be bold and go for it! Just make sure you use citations with reliable sources. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 21:48, 13 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
