Elliott Page Changes

edit

These changes look fine. While I disagree that Elliott is too old for today's markets, I agree that Elliott was not totally correct either, for all markets, as I noted in my book (I am no longer a practicing technical analyst and have no skin in the game). My take is that most markets that do not have innovation or inflation built in to pricing mostly move in three wave cycles, except for shorter term impulse moves, which I wrote about in my book. And although I spent a good deal of time on the Neely book, and never got through it completely, I suspect the enormous irregular 2nd waves under Neely largely result in a similar concept.Sposer (talk) 13:00, 26 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I don't think anyone, not even Neely, thinks Elliott is "too old for today's markets." From my beginners perspective, it seems Neely and others have done a great deal to improve upon Elliott's original work. I don't think the foundation of market movement (i.e., human psychology) has changed, but with new technology their behavior gets more nuanced due to more information access, which is what Neely's book I think is addressing - that is, an expansion of Elliott's original work. Not to degrade it but to enhance it.

On a different note though, I am looking to create a Wikipedia page for A.J. Frost and A. Hamilton Bolton, do you know of any good resources I can find online that would help in the creation of those pages? GlePa (talk) 14:19, 16 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
