Dear Borg,

Thank you for your comments, for which I am grateful. I apologise for the delayed reply, but I have been away.

I hope to be able to attend to the problems you describe, in a way that Wikipedia finds suitable.

I am a complete beginner at this. I find it very difficult indeed.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Glasseslover

A few suggestion re Article Creation etc

edit

Hello, Glasseslover.
I am short-circuiting the Articles for creation process a little by posting here. I have had a look at your article, and it has some very visually obvious problems. You need to take a look at linking to see how to link properly to other Wikipedia (WP) pages.

Basically though [[WP page name]] is the simplest way. [[WP page name|text you want to display]], is another way when you want different text than the exact page name.

Please do not have text linked directly to the Eye Company website in the text of the page, this is seen as overly promotional. I think the number of links is also excessive, it is not needed or advisable to link every word, term or company that has a WP page. You end up with a 'sea' of blue text.

See also wp:Referencing for beginners.

Even if you fix these aspects up there is still the Notability and Verifiability criteria to meet for this page to be retained on WP. Regards, 220 of Borg 12:54, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Eye Company

edit

Hello Glasseslover. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The Eye Company".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Eye Company}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 17:03, 2 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
