Proposed deletion of James Cooper (Filmmaker)

edit

The article James Cooper (Filmmaker) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Needs stronger sourcing than IMDb, to meet WP:BASIC.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re: Proposed Deletion

Fillmmaker is of note and importance. Directed David Oyelowo's most recent film, 206. I just need some time to edit the page and provide the references. I just started this today. This seems slightly preemptive, no? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GiraldiMedia (talkcontribs) 21:30, 28 July 2015‎

Don't worry, the deletion template I added is just noting the problem and saying that the article will be deleted if it remains in that state for a whole seven days. You're welcome to strike the template at any time, but ideally after you've added some stronger secondary sources (otherwise someone else will probably just see it and add it back independently). --McGeddon (talk) 20:37, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

The sources you've added don't seem to meet the criteria of WP:BASIC. I've raised an AfD discussion so that other editors can give their thoughts on it, and potentially provide sources that you've missed. --McGeddon (talk) 17:34, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
