Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:52, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Talk pages edit

I'm afraid that I have to object to your recent comment at Talk:Broomfield Rowhouse. According to the talk page guidelines at WP:TALK, "Talk pages are for discussing the article, not for general conversation about the article's subject" [italics in original]. I'll remove your addition, per the talk page guidelines; but could I ask you to avoid this sort of thing in the future? Thanks. Ammodramus (talk) 00:02, 8 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

November 2013 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Carl's Jr. are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. March 2018 edit

Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:You're So Vain for general discussion of the topic or other unrelated topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you. Salutations!
Could you be LESS specific? I believe my comments fall within guidelines; if not, please do educate me with something other than boilerplate. Thanks!
Article talk pages are for discussing improvements to their associated articles. Your comment at Talk:You're So Vain does not seem to be related to improving the associated article. Honestly, it's quite vague: An off-hand heading saying you are vain, a link to youtube and a time. I saw nothing relating it to anything, other than being a link to the song. - SummerPhDv2.0 17:19, 7 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
