Split of advertising article edit

The advertising section can be greatly expanded and could be split into its own article, shared with Hardee's. Its ads have gotten media attention and controversy going back as far as the 1990s. Any thoughts? Jgera5 (talk) 14:33, 13 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Louisiana problems... edit

Louisiana has Hardee's and Carl's Jr locations in the state. Shreveport has Carl's Jr, since it's right there next to Texas, and the rest of the state is Hardee's. 'Mcdonaat 05:24, 22 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

This correct and the map posted presently is an old illustration. Rwils (talk) 00:32, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Here in the UK? edit

It says here the Carl's Jr. is in the United Kingdom but as far as I know, there are no such restaurants over here. Can anyone clarify this? 5.81.253.245 (talk) 16:55, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I checked there website on international locations, there aren't any locations on the UK map [1]. Orangetycoon41 (talk) 07:20, 22 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Hello, my classmates and I have incorporated a section of this page dedicated to the controversy regarding the advertisement used by Carl's Jr. We appreciate any feedback. Thank you! Nikkipastrana (talk) 06:20, 5 November 2015 (UTC)Nikkipastrana }}Reply

Primary sources/POV issues edit

Much of this article reads like advertising, roughly half the sources are websites run by Carl's Jr. or its corporate parent, and there are even a few citations to Wikipedia articles. I added tags for the first two concerns; I couldn't find an appropriate tag for the third. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 15:09, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

It looks like many of those edits were made by a user openly affiliated with CKE Restaurants, and the user has already been warned about POV issues for edits to another article. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 15:13, 26 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

For all intents and purpose, Hardee's and Carl's Junior a pretty much the same restaurants these days, just with a different name depending on which part of the country you live in. edit

Since the two companies merged, so too largely have the restaurant menus, save for a few regional difference. If you on the west coast or the New England area, It's Carl's Jr. in the midwest and south, it's Hardees. Thus, currently, there is little differences between a Carl's Jr and a Hardee's. Wyoming and Oklahoma have both. Thus this article should talk about the history of the Hardee's as a strand alone restaurant chain and then talk about how the menus have been since merge with between Hardee's and Carl Jr's (mostly), after CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. bought Hardee's. The way the article is currently makes it seems as if they are a distinctly different restaurant chain from Carls jr. and that CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. just owns them which is not exactly the current situation. Here is an article explaining they few differences that currently exists between the two chains (it's mostly name differences): http://mentalfloss.com/article/63291/whats-difference-between-hardees-and-carls-jr --Notcharliechaplin (talk) 01:10, 20 May 2018 (UTC)--Reply

Manager edit

The lady in this is asserted elsewhere to be a manager in this company. I wouldn't know, we don't have them here. https://twitter.com/David_Leavitt/status/1271283811456860160?s=20

It seems potentially a more interesting aspect of the company than most in the rather anodyne entry thus far. Midgley (talk) 19:33, 12 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect Map edit

This map posted is not correct at all. Carl’s Jr. is in Louisiana, not Hardee’s. Rwils (talk) 00:31, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

POV related to History edit

The foundation story appears mythological, not encyclopedic. What is the source? Carl's Jr.'s own history from the website? It might be good to pick out facts, but this reads verbatim from the marketing department. There are many other concerns related to marketing. Describing a marketing campaign, for instance, is no problem, but words like "Award-winning actor" and others need to be cleaned up. That is the concern I have. Would be inclined to re-light the NPOV tag now that several editors have utilized silence to indicate there are no objections. AggiesNeverLie (talk) 00:58, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
A few hours is not really long enough for silence to indicate anything, but on the procedural point of the tag, consider using the |talk= parameter to point here. Best, CMD (talk) 01:39, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
