It is for a reason, as it can lead to some very serious legal complications if false information is added.

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Julias Alex Gilfiley

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Julias Alex Gilfiley, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. You are right up to a point, in that I probably wouldn't nominate this for speedy deletion if notability was the only issue. Having said that, many of the references are not independent verifiable sources in that they are linked to, or editable by, the subject of the article.

More to the point, it was written in a promotional tone, as is usually the case for autobiographies. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. One examples of unsourced claims presented as fact is Gilfiley’s goal is to help inspire and lift up forgotten human beings in society that everyone has given up on, kids and adults alike, but the tone of the article throughout is to promote yourself. Deletion for spam does not depend on whether the article is referenced. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:14, 19 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for message. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. Content seems OK, try posting it and see what happens Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:44, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've tidied the page a bit and added a category. The page was protected by User:GB fan. You will need to ask him/her if the page protection can be lifted, although I'm not sure that there is much point. That's because I think that the article is unlikely to survive even if it is recreated as an article. The role of Henchman # seems unlikely to meet our notability guidelines for actors, and I think it will be deleted again Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:54, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Jimfbleak, i you feel the article meets inclusion guidelines you can unprotect the page. GB fan 09:37, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
