Image source problem with Image:Dr Ralph Morse.jpg

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Dr Ralph Morse.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:52, 10 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Blacksmith2 talkEditor Review 22:52, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:MOS issues

edit

Please familiarize yourself with how to cite reliable sources, per the Manual of Style. For instance, if an interview is to serve as a source, you need to provide publication data. You need publication data and/or URLs for all the sources, not just a mention at the end that the source exists somewhere. In general, your sourcing of Ralph Morse (actor) is incomplete and all over the place. Please tend to this or the article may have large sections deleted. Thanks. - Kathryn NicDhàna 22:53, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

August 2007

edit

Please stop. If you continue to use non-WP formatting, and if you continue to remove requests for citations, as you did to Ralph Morse (actor), you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Again, address the issues that have been brought up here and on the talk page of the article, don't just remove the request for citations. The article includes WP:NOR Original Research, which will be cut if you don't provide a published, reliable source for it. Saying readers can write to the subject of the article for more information is not a WP:V acceptable "source", nor is creating OR content on your website after a source has been requested. Seriously, familiarize yourself with WP style and standards, per the links provided above, and this will go better for you. Thanks. - Kathryn NicDhàna 15:57, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Ralph Morse as King Lear.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ralph Morse as King Lear.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:11, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for File:The Delegation 1984.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:The Delegation 1984.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
