Hello, Gemqueen46. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Diamond Nexus, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. みんな空の下 (トーク) 21:31, 26 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re: Diamond Nexus

edit

Again, read the conflict of interest notice above. Try to look for reputable, reliable and independent sources (such as AP or other news agency). Press releases and reviews generally do not sufficiently provide adequate information to establish notability. As I take a look at these links (extracted from Diamond Nexus submission):

References

1. http://www.yelp.com/biz/diamond-nexus-franklin 2. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/diamond-nexus-labs-announced-as-the-official-jewelry-of-the-miss-universe-organization-65661857.html 3. http://www.missuniverse.com/charities/sponsors 4. http://www.bbb.org/wisconsin/business-reviews/jewelry-manufacturers/diamond-nexus-labs-in-franklin-wi-44010137 5. http://www.listrak.com/News/qonerev/

  1. The first link is a review site, that cannot be used as a reliable source.
  2. The second link is a press release, that is not independent.
  3. The third link is a sponsor site, but just because you're a sponsor for something big doesn't necessarily mean the company is notable in general.
  4. The fourth link is nice trivial information, but that does not sufficiently show notability.
  5. The fifth link is a press release of another company, and it also does not adequately show the notability of the company.

Overall, two of these links are trivial (BBB and Miss Universe), but the rest doesn't seem to work. Again, here in Wikipedia, in order to have an article without the possibility of being deleted, the article needs reliable sources. For more information, you may want to look up Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources, and I would like you to visit the Wikipedia Teahouse if you need more help. Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Diamond Nexus (2)

edit

Hello Gemqueen46. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Diamond Nexus (2)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Diamond Nexus (2)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 13:25, 20 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
