Welcome! edit

Hello, Gdoman1, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

November 2016 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Dawnseeker2000 01:13, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

2008 Damxung earthquake edit

Hi, I see you're new here. There's lots to learn, so it would be helpful for you to take a look at our Manual of Style (MoS). I've undone your changes again because 1) they did not follow our MoS and 2) if they articles contradict themselves, the readers will wonder if we know what we're doing. We definitely want to show that we do! Cheers and welcome. It's a complicated place, so please, if there's anything that you could use a hand on, please ask on my talk page. One more thing, it's a very good thing to use the edit summary every time you make a change. Thanks a ton, Dawnseeker2000 02:05, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
