Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Diff: [1] Don't remove maintenance templates unless you are endeavoring to fix the issues. Slashes and parentheticals are ambiguous and confusing, and no casual reader is going to know what they mean. Err on the side of knowledge, not ignorance, please. Hello @Cyphoidbomb:, I understood the issue about removing the 'clarification needed' tags. How can I provide the clarifications for my actions? I have been an avid watcher of the serial and can clear out some issues, however I cannot provide source for all such clarification as most of them haven't been documented on any website. Will facebook links work? I rarely edit articles on Wikipedia so I don't have much idea on that. Gdbuy (talk) 13:04, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted the sub-section that used to be here, because it's not necessary. Clarification means just that: Clarification. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan website. In Indian television articles, there's this insane overusage of slashes /// and parentheticals (()) to present content, and it's totally unclear what any of it means. So in this article:
Anindita Raychaudhury as Madhobi / Madhu / Mummum
What does this mean? Is Raychaudhury playing three characters? Are they reincarnations? Triplets? Or is this one character, but someone took it upon themselves to list every nickname the character had? If it's the latter, than it should be whatever the MOST COMMON name is for the character. Or if a nickname is warranted, we go Joseph Vijay "Thalapathy" Chandrasekhar.
Riyanka Dasgupta as Mishtu, Bhutu's paternal aunt (Mishti Pisi)
This should probably be:
Riyanka Dasgupta as Mishtu Pisi: Bhutu's paternal aunt
What about:
Manali Dey as Mouli / Bordidi
Again, there is no obvious explanation as to what Mouli / Bordidi means. If these are two characters, then they should probably be listed differently.
Shraboni Bonik as Reetu; Logence's aunt (Jemma)
Why is "Jemma" in parentheticals?
Do you see the issue here? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:31, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Understood, so you mean that not every nickname requires to be specified.

Yes, actually all nicknames had been specified (not all by me) for Anindita Raychaudhury. If required, may be used.
For, Bhutu's paternal aunt name, elder family members used to call 'Mishtu'; Bhutu, the main character calls 'Mishti Pisi'. So I think 'Mishti Pisi' will work?
Jemma is a salution used in Bengali by youngsters to refer to their paternal aunt. Bhutu relates her to her actual paternal aunt calls her the same.
Ok, for Mouli / Bordidi, Bordidi term was used by Bhutu. So I can parenthesise Bordidi if possible.

I would avoid parentheticals at all costs and try to keep the content simple. We do not need multiple nicknames. Maybe look at List of SpongeBob SquarePants characters so you can see what the goal is here. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:31, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
