A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Speroteck, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Amortias (T)(C) 17:36, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because we are not promoting any specific service or company but would like to provide information about our company. You already have similar pages, for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_of_America. The page will contain our history, geographical spread, social causes.. etc.

Hi. if this is the case the article needs to be created in the mainspace not a user page. user pages are not spaces for articles mearly information about the editor. Alongside this pages created by people about themselves tend to be issued with COI tags as there is a potential conflict of interest. It might be worth creating the article in your sandbox (see top right of page) and then submitting it for creation when you feel it is ready to be published. This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Speroteck (talk) 17:51, 7 July 2014 (UTC) I am new to WiKi, Please help me with how this page supposed to look like and I will make it this way. Once I am not longer a candidate for deletion, I will create an article in sandbox as you suggestedReply

Unfortunately, there is not a single sentence of your current user page that is not unambiguously promotional. Basically it is an advertisement for the company. In addition, per Wikipedia's user name policy, a company name cannot be used as a user name, since every Wikipedia user account has to represent one individual, not an organisation. Here is some information about how to request a change of username, but please note that the edits you have been making would not be allowed regardless of the name on the user account. Again, please read Wikipedia's FAQ for organisations. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 18:00, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. I have changed the content of our page. Please let me know if this is OK now

Welcome!

Hello, Speroteck, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Change of username

edit

How do I change user name? I would like it to be GaliaP instead of Speroteck. I don't see where I can do it. Thanks!

Look at the blue text above for "request a change of username". That will take you to the page to request the change. —C.Fred (talk) 18:15, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

when I try to edit my article, all I see is a large text box where I can put free-floating text. Is there a template I can use? Thanks

I have created an article this week. Hope it conforms to standards.

I changed the user name to avoid conflict of interests and changed the content. Are we all good now?

No. Even with the change of username, you may not use your user page to promote a company. —C.Fred (talk) 18:24, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Fred, I am not promoting any company but trying to create an information page, You have panty of these pages already, such us: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_of_America, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola .. etc. I just need help on the right way to do it, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Speroteck (talkcontribs) 18:38, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Those are articles written by people unaffiliated with the companies in question. That's separate from you creating a page about your company. (PS, you may want to log out and log back in under your new username, since they change has taken effect. Also, there's no need to create a new section for each message you want to leave; just click the "edit" button at the top of a section and add on to the bottom.) —C.Fred (talk) 18:41, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

-- Thank you for letting me know about the Edit button. You really believe that people who invested hours in building and updating these company's pages are unaffiliated..? Can we also make me unaffiliated? The page will look just like theirs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Speroteck (talkcontribs) 18:44, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

There's no way to make you unaffiliated, but if the company is a notable company, then other editors can help clean up the article to make sure it is neutral and non-promotional. —C.Fred (talk) 18:48, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

That's great! Any chance you would allow me to start the page and others will contribute. We are a notable company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GaliaP (talkcontribs)

I'd suggest starting a draft article (or I can move your user page to Draft:Speroteck). Make sure the company does meet WP:CORP, and cite secondary sources whenever possible: independent coverage, such as in newspapers, about a company is always preferred to the company's own website or press releases. —C.Fred (talk) 18:53, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. Yes, please move your user page to [[Draft:Speroteck] and I will start an article.

Done. Remember that criteria for speedy deletion G11, spam, applies everywhere on Wikipedia; the draft can be deleted if it gets too promotional. —C.Fred (talk) 19:03, 7 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. Do you guys have a template I can fill for a new page/article or it's a free floating text?

There's not really a template for new articles. Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies/Guidelines will have some guidelines on articles for companies. Additionally, there are some templates for specific features, like the infobox on the side of the article, but not really the article as a whole. —C.Fred (talk) 17:35, 9 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Speroteck (2) concern

edit

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Speroteck (2), a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:33, 21 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please reinstate this page. I will update it

Your draft article, Draft:Speroteck (2)

edit

Hello GaliaP. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Speroteck".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Speroteck (2)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 18:27, 1 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
