I have researched and digged around everywhere and I could not find any history on the prior head coaches. I am hoping someone out there has this information.

I see you've created a page for the 2004 NCAA Women's bracket. I wrote some scripts to generate all the historical NCAA Men's brackets (see Template:NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament) so I could presumably generate similar pages for all of the women's brackets. Fair use images

Hello. I noticed you added the NBA team logos to the draft page. However, note that the NBA logos are fair use and fair use policy dictates that the use of the image must not be purely decorative. I noticed you seem to be into editing draft articles. Perhaps you should take a look at the featured list criteria and also take a look at 2005 NFL Draft and its corresponding featured list nomination at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/2005 NFL Draft. Czukay-Sylvian 's albums

Hello, I noticed you included Flux and Mutability in progressive rock album stub cathegory. Well, it's not correct, that album is a typical example of Ambient music with influences from Ethno and World music, in other words it is often regarded as a "New Age" album. hello, fuzzy510, thank you for replying. Ok, if it is so important for you, feel free to keep that stub for now, I'll expand the text within this weekend. I bought those two albums, Plight and Premonition and Flux and Mutability when they were first released in vynil, around 1988-89; I can ensure that they are universally regarded as Ambient or New Age, never as prog rock. This is the evidence that AllMusic is not trustable at all, despite the fact that young Wikipedians regard it as a sort of bible. Talledega

Hi I have contested your proposed deletion of the Talledega picture. It is currently the only image available for this article on Wikipedia or the commons. If you'd like to contribute a free pic then by all means do so, however until that time there is no valid reason to delete it. I believe you are misreading #1. "If a free alternative exists" refers to if one exists on Wikipedia or the commons, which none currently does. It does not refer to if one could eventually be made available. Also if you would please reread that section it also asks that if you know a free image exists you should replace it. As we're supposed to follow the structure of the permanent categories, we have three possible alternatives: by sport, by location (state, or region of states), or by type of structure (most obviously, the indoors, vs the "ball parks"). You refer elsewhere to a 60 article threshhold: I am not clear whether a stub category should have more or less than this threshhold amount. If you need to split it further, I would suggest that this could be done by conference (UEFA, OCF, CONCACAF etc)

Do you think information such as arena capacity, coach's length of service and conference affiliation history belong in the template? All this information is included in Duke Blue Devils basketball. Speedy deletion

FYI, when you tag a page for speedy deletion, it's important to be careful that if it is transcluded elsewhere, you use noinclude tags - <noinclude>{{db|whatever}}</noinclude> - so that the speedy deletion tag will be added only to the template/user page itself and not to pages where it is transcluded. Template colors

I see that you are doing a lot of good work on templates, but I see that you changed the Oregon State orange to be a lot darker than previously. Now all the Oregon State templates are rather hard to read. I think it is worth changing orange to be brighter even if it means not being the exact official shade of the school (not sure if what you changed it to is or not), as it will make the teplates easier to navigate. Also, as an OSU student, I can say that bright orange is a lot more common than darker shades. VegaDark 21:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

The "Testudo" image template contributed by someone else, which had a photo of a sculpture, was removed as a Speedy Delete for copyright infringement. As discussed on the Talk page, a new userbox template which is generic to the entire University of Maryland system was developed in its place. This is the one Userbox for the Univ. Md. It superceded the banned Testudo userbox by a Redirect. Thus, no Disambig. is necessary, nor is it desired or intended that the replacement userbox apply only to the College Park campus.

There are three different Mike Gillespies. Mike Gillespie is a baseball coach. Mike Gillespie (basketball coach), Mike Gillespie, Sr., is the Florida A&M Rattlers basketball head coach. Mike Gillespie, Jr. is an assistant basketball coach at Florida A&M. I do not recommend creating an article for the assistant coach.

Do you think we should make a disambiguation page for Mike Gillespie and move the current Mike Gillespie to Mike Gillespie (baseball coach)? Or do you have other suggestions? Fbdave 00:39, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

College Coaches

Hey - glad to see someone else working on the college coach stuff. It might be helpful though to get some more information into the articles instead of just mass creating stubs for them though. Basic information for the infoboxes and coaching stops can be easily gotten from the school's athletic departments, and ESPN will usually have a record of a recent hiring as well. Couple those things together, and about 20 minutes later you'll have a reasonably complete start-class article. matt91486 05:59, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I can understand that. I think we'll probably be safe with the templates now that Maine has been up for deletion with a consensus of keep. 1. The en-rule is used to link two dates to indicate a range; as "present" isn't a date, the en-rule is wrong here, and "to" is correct.
2. Abbreviating the names of the Universities is obscure to someone who doesn't already know ("Bradley" could mean anything).

The reason i added the text at the top is because a link from the EDFL article goes to Aaron James, but it is not the AFL footballer, so something has to be there so that people dont't get confused. Arkansas Razorbacks basketball

Think you could move Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball back to its original location at Arkansas Razorbacks basketball? This article should never have been moved in the first place. "Razorbacks" refers EXCLUSIVELY to men's teams at the school. Women's teams are formally known as "Lady Razorbacks", but the school more commonly refers to these teams as "Lady'Backs" (the women's athletics article is at Arkansas Ladybacks, probably for clarity). Note also that Arkansas is one of a small number of schools which operates completely separate men's and women's athletic departments; Tennessee is the only other one I know of. The official websites are also clearly distinct: hogwired.com for the Razorbacks, and ladybacks.com for the Lady'Backs. — Dale Arnett 22:21, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Western Illinois basketball

Western Illinois Leathernecks men's basketball is another one that should never have been moved. While Western Illinois has only one athletic department (unlike Arkansas and Tennessee), it has radically different nicknames for its men's and women's teams. UNLV Runnin' Rebels men's basketball

Here's another one that should never have been moved. "Runnin' Rebels" is exclusive to the men's basketball program at UNLV. The standard nickname for men's teams, including football, is simply "Rebels", although "Hustlin' Rebels" is often used for baseball. Stanford logo

Thanks for the notice. I've restored the previous version of the logo because the one you uploaded was not obtained directly from Stanford, and the shade of red on the S is markedly different on my screen. Accordingly, and since such issues are often considered quite significant in reproducing logos and the like, I would think the strong preference is to use the more definitive one, regardless of the image format. --Michael Snow 03:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Sure While I appreciate your suggestions, I was actually a little confused by your examples. While I understand the NHL series one, I moved it simply because the name "NHL series" doesn't really convey as much meaning as "NHL video game series" or "List of NHL video games by Electronic Arts" or somesuch. If you really want to move it back, I won't oppose it, but I prefer the new name because it is more meaningful. As for the UNLV case, I really don't understand that; are you saying that the team's name is literally "UNLV Runnin' Rebels" and *not* "University of Las Vegas Runnin' Rebels?" If that is the case, I have to say that I'm a bit surprised and I think this is an idiosyncratic case. I'm sure the actual name of most university mascots or teams is "University Name Mascot Name." Again, my thinking was that daughter articles should inherit the name of the main article (e.g. United Nations Security Council, not UN Security Council or UNSC), regardless of other conventions, such as most common name. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 03:17, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

My apologies Clearly, I am ignorant about college sports nomenclature, and I appreciate your input. As far as the sports league moves go, it is certainly the case that the National Football League is referred to as the "NFL" much more often than its full name. Why would we have "National Football League" but "List of NFL head coaches?" Also, there were inconsistencies about how it was already used (e.g. - and I'm just making this up - "List of NFL head coaches" and "National Football League lore.") Now, that is not an argument to move "NFL"s to "National Football League"s per se but it is certainly the case that one or the other should be moved. Seasons You are correct that there is a convention here that I did not see and you are correct that it also makes sense to incorporate that into similar articles. That having been said, it also makes sense to incorporate the name of the parent article into the daughter article(s), and that standard is Wikipedia-wide, rather than decided by a small enclave of hockey-enthusiast editors. So, I disagree with the reasoning of the WikiProject. I have no problem replacing the HL logo I uploaded with a PNG version. I am curious though as to why you changed the name. I've tried to upload using names that are as specific as possible (as per guidelines) to eliminate confusion and also create a kind of standard naming system.
