Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mostar Round-Trip, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Hughes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Six Million and One may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Conflict of interest

edit

Hi. It appears that you are making substantial edits to articles about yourself and your movies. This is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia: please read the guidelines on conflicts of interest. Dricherby (talk) 02:22, 10 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. i am not the director, but i am assisting him in edyting his pages. all the information at play, including the critique, has references. as it happens almost all of the critics gave a positive review on the film, i also included the worst reviews the film recieved (which gladly for the direcotor were not so bad themselves). if the text seems biased, how do i request some other editor to use the information that was put on previous edits to a new edit? The guidelines on conflict of interest (particularly the section, "Wikipedia's position") gives advice. You should only make well-sourced edits of uncontroversial factual information. In particular, note that selecting which reviews to mention is a matter of opinion, and combining the reviews into a narrative about a film or person's reception is extremely subjective and open to bias, even though you are trying to be even-handed. If you wish to draw people's attention to subjective material that could be included in the article, you should request on the talk page that people consider it. You probably should also create a user page that mentions your links to the director. Dricherby (talk) 15:09, 14 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
