Hi @Bagumba:, Thanks for the links. I made a change to the Wikipedia article but it was reverted. Would you have any idea why or be able to advise how I can discuss those changes? I removed the word "trampled" from the article "2021 Meron crowd crush" as per the following comment that I made earlier in the Talk pages, under "How people actually die": "I've also read up on both of these terms. Accordingly, within the article itself, the inaccurate word "trampled" is used several times. However, per eyewitness reports, what actually occurred was that people slipped and fell, those behind them successively falling over them, resulting in a pileup. It was me that reverted the edit. You can use a page's history to see what edits have been made and by who. I left an interpretation of my view of trampled on the talk page. You can respond there. I'm not tied to the current wording, and trampled can possibly be explained another way. But I didn't think outright removal was best. —Bagumba (talk) 03:30, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

@Bagumba:, thank you for that. I replied there. To be clear, the victims were asphyxiated as a result of being in a massive pile of fallen bodies. Not from being trampled or stepped on.FirstResearch (talk) 04:43, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi @Bagumba:, I didn't comment yet on the Talk page as I'm not an expert on all the Wikipedia policies and how best to present the information I know. What I think I can say I do know about, though, is what happened in Meron. I've read up on a number of eyewitness accounts and I also understand Hebrew so I was able to listen to video recordings of survivors recounting the incident. (Are neither kinds considered published sources?) What came up consistently was the description of piles of people who'd successively fallen over each other, in effect collapsing, and that the ones on the bottom were crushed by the weight of the pile. I'm not sure if there is merit in assuming the main cause of death as being otherwise if not actually reported otherwise (in the actual description of the events, even if the raw terminology was used in some sources). I don't see any contradiction to the reporting if that specific terminology is not used. Again, I'm not the Wikipedia expert so I thought you'd be better off with this information than I am. I do think that the article should be accurate to the actual occurrence and therefore I thought I'd present that information to you to take into account, as it might be helpful.
