Rearranging autosorted entries

edit

Hello, Ffabiann11. I'm JohnFromPinckney. I saw your edit here to the List of Wikipedias page, and couldn't figure out what you were trying to do. It would help (in general, for all of your edits), if you would use an edit summary which would explain to other editors what you're aiming at.

In this specific example, you appear to have rearranged entries in the "Editions overview" table. This table is automatically sorted (as is the "Details of Wikipedia editions" table on that page), so it does no good to shuffle the rows around. It only causes an extra entry in the revision history. Of course, maybe I missed what your intention was and have overlooked some other change. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 20:27, 23 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Wikipedias in language family" navboxes

edit

I see you've been creating templates like Template:Wikipedias in Germanic languages, Template:Wikipedias in Romance languages, etc. and adding them to articles on individual wikipedias. It seems to me that this is redundant with the existing Template:Wikipedias navbox. e.g. at the bottom of French Wikipedia we have the Template:Wikipedias template, and then the Template:Wikipedias in Romance languages, but all the links in the latter are already present in the former (except for the ones that are just redirects to List of Wikipedias, which probably shouldn't be there, per WP:EXISTING). What need do you see these as fulfilling? Colin M (talk) 17:51, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dagbani Wikipedia

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dagbani Wikipedia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Wikipedias in Gur languages

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedias in Gur languages indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read!
