I would like to propose our class looks into researching the Holden Evening Prayer, its origins, meaning, relevance, etc. Holden Village or even our own university might have material on it, since both practice the Prayer and have Lutheran ideologies.

Good resources would be looking into the composer, Marty Haugen, as well as the Holden Village site, maybe other Lutheran liturgists. Our own Dr. Lorainne Brugh, Director of Church Music at Valparaiso University, would know additional resources as well.

We could link to Lutheran liturgy, Holden Village, the Magnificat, and other related topics with Lutheranism, music, and the composer himself.
