Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Fake news for general discussion of the topic or other unrelated topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you. —PaleoNeonate05:27, 29 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your free speech post

edit

The US constitution forbids the government to censor expression. It doesn't attempt to forbid a private charity such as the Wikimedia Foundation from determining how and what can be added to its websites. We have policies and guidelines that we expect editors to follow. If you don't like them, you don't need to edit here. User:PaleoNeonate's post above was perfectly appropriate. You've ignore that and I've reverted you. If you ignore me you will probably be blocked. You don't seem interested in contributing constructively to the project in any case if your three edits are anything to go by, but are more interested in pushing your point of view. Thanks for the ping, Doug Weller. Hello again ExcitedforWiki. Maybe useful could be the WP:FIXBIAS essay. The reason why I pointed at WP:NOTFORUM above, was because article talk pages are not for general chat but for discussion of specific article improvement. It is best to provide reliable sources and to be specific with short messages than to post long non-specific rants. I noticed that you also once suggested that the article be deleted. There are formal procedures for this on Wikipedia (see WP:DELETE for more information). To complement what Doug said about free speech, we also have the related WP:FREESPEECH essay. I hope this helps, —PaleoNeonate23:49, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
