Welcome and thanks for your contributions. I've change Lapedus to a redirct to the main article - it's just a variant spelling and sholdn't have it's own article. Article titles shouldn't contain markup, by the way (ie '''). I replaced the phrase about variant spellings. Could you also use edit summaries when you edit, see WP:Edit summary. Thanks. (e/c) Oh well, Doug's already said it. We don't duplicate existing article content, and unless a name's variant spelling or form is notable according to reliable, scholarly sources, we can't justify a separate article. Please follow the Wikipedia links above for guidance on writing and developing new content. Of course, if you know of any notable person named Lapedus, you can create or develop articles on them, under their full names. Thank you. Haploidavey (talk) 13:01, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello thanks for the response if a notable person has a varient spelling will the wiki page be removed still? please respond thanks

You mean the page that was recently deleted? Yes, it would, for the reasons qiven above. Articles on notable people, under any name at all, are unlikely to be deleted. Btw, please don't forget to sign your posts. Haploidavey (talk) 18:45, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
