Huawei Symantec edit

I've removed some more promotional content and added some refs, so the article definitely will not get deleted. Overall, it was well-written and well-formatted. Great job on your first article! Best, Cunard (talk) 07:38, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

My pleasure! I enjoy rescuing articles from speedy deletion when they are definitely notable. Thanks for catching this mistake. I'll try to be more careful when I add content. Feel free to ask me questions on my talk page if you need any help. Best, Cunard (talk) 23:21, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Huawei Symantec Unofficial Emblem.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Huawei Symantec Unofficial Emblem.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Radiant chains (talk) 10:28, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Huawei Symantec Unofficial Emblem.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Huawei Symantec Unofficial Emblem.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Radiant chains (talk) 09:07, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Static Induction Transistor (SIT) 2SK77B.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Static Induction Transistor (SIT) 2SK77B.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 21:56, 2 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Eugenys test page edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. NickContact/Contribs 21:12, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

per my comment at Nick's talk page, I've moved this to User:EugenyBrychkov/Eugenys test page, for you to continue to work on at your convenience. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:50, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. EugenyBrychkov (talk) 22:09, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

In an ideal world, NickW557 would have moved it (and marked the 'redirect' for deletion). I've suggested he does that next time.

In an ideal world, even when NickW557 tagged it for Speedy Deletion, the admin would have realised what it was, moved it, and let you know.

Sadly, this world is less than ideal.

On the bright side, you got it sorted out.

Next time you have a problem though, I suggest you just put {{helpme}} right here on your own talk page, and don't scream at Our Overlord.

Best, 88.104.28.176 (talk) 22:18, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your Overlord is overally responsible what you and others (including me) are doing. Every Wikipedian is responsible for the state of his image. Wikipedia became you_know_what_and_where because of its rules (which as appears can easily be scrubbed around), with more right people having power to break.

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:44, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Humming Heads edit

The article Humming Heads has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional corporate article. No evidence of notability, bad sourcing; WP:BEFORE shows zero RS coverage, in English or Japanese. The Japanese Wikipedia article is no better. No evidence this was ever notable. Tagged since 2014; no reasonable prospect of organic improvement.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
