My Accident In Editing Land of Confusion

Listen, I wanted to add content to a section, but forgot to login before editing. I was editing the music video section and wanted to login, but that then removes everything you've added. So, I Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C so that once I logged in, I could paste it back in and continue editing. But when I went to edit, I clicked the edit button for the whole page. I made an accident, and apparently you guys take it very seriously and do it right. I applaud you in doing so but just understand it was an accident, as I was going to immediately undo my changes, as I got 2-3 messages instantly.

Computers In Personnel deletion notice

Hi Eteethan,

The only reason we've been removing deletion notices is that they're being made by unregistered users and/or competitors. If the notice was placed by an admin, we would be looking to improve the page as per their guidelines - however, we've been far too busy removing erroneous additions and edits by unregistered users.

If the page could be protected, we would be able to update it as per your guidelines and, if necessary, re-submit for review.

Can anyone add an AfD tag? If so, how can we stop random people from continually marking our page for deletion? In addition, I'm very comfortable with technology, but the process for discussing this sort of thing has me baffled. Where and how can I add information to the discussion page? Hi Eteethan - I do, yes. When I originally created the page back in 2008, it was an entirely impartial entry, which is why I believe it's been fine until now. The only reason for removing recent additions/edits are because they were inaccurate/defamatory to the organisation. Appreciate this may seem to be a COI, however the article was approved over 7 years ago; I was unaware that a COI issue could exist at that time. To answer Dan's other question: the deletion discussion is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Computers In Personnel < click that link to go there, and then you add your comments to it by clicking "Edit", much as you do on other Wikipedia pages. I suggest you check out Wikipedia:Guide to deletion#General advice before you do so. t most certainly said the company was an "innovative leader" when you created it, which was when you were claiming impartiality for; it was another user who removed that about a month later. At this point, the question of "what should the article be like" comes second to "is it suitable there's an article at all?", which is the matter being raised in the deletion discussion. Just so that I can understand the difference, can you explain why a very similar organisation to us would be allowed a profile (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MidlandHR), but we would not? Would a user be able to completely amend our entry, so that it reflected the type or kind of information that they have provided? To add to this - could you explain to us what the definition of a 'notable company' is? - we are frequently referred to as non-notable. You can find our guidelines on how we recognize a company to be notable at Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Rhythmic Cirus

Hello Eteethan, I got your message on my Rhythmic circus edit.You see i am a fan of the group, and looking on their wiki page, I noticed information on their linup wasn't fully accurate. According to their website. http://rhythmiccircus.com/cast.php The guitarist's name is Alex Rossi and he also serves as one of the singers. the vocal percussionist/beatboxer heatbox also serves as a singer and he has even been known to play percussion instruments in the group(Most notably Congas and Snare drum) the article also left out that the group has a trumpet player named Aaron Wiener. I would like to recommend you look at the website link and bring back the changes i made, to improve the accuracy of the article. Thank you for reaching me Eteethan.

Recent Edit

Hi Eteethan,

My recent edit was on an account that used to be mine and that I have since lost the password to. I have a new account that I use exclusively, and honestly I wish this old one could just be deleted. I wanted to remove some personal information that as a high schooler I though would somehow be a good idea to put on the internet. But since I don't have the password to it anymore, there's no other way to remove it besides editing it from my new account. If that's against Wikipedia policy, please let me know. Thanks!
