Parkinson's disease

edit

I'm sorry, but the material you are adding is not suitable for that article. Please take a look at WP:MEDRS for an overview of the sorts of sources that are usable for medical articles on Wikipedia -- MyScienceWorks does not fit the criteria. Note also that Parkinson's disease is a "Featured Article", Wikipedia's highest level of article quality, so we are going to be especially rigorous in maintaining the quality of its sourcing. I've also undone a similar edit at Apitherapy because it's just an animal study. Graham87 02:49, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Bee venom note suitable for a Wikiversity project

edit

Hi Estalere. I noticed the bee venom note that you wanted to submit to the Parkinson's disease page of Wikipedia. I also understand why, in that form, it was not acceptable. But a few of us have been working on a learning project in the sister project, Wikiversity, and there is no reason why it should not be appropriate for that. See V:Portal:The_Science_Behind_Parkinson's. This will give you an idea about what the project is all about. In particular see V:Progress_and_Prospects_in_Parkinson's_Research and scroll down to where you will see in the table the Main Field of Therapy and the Topic of Neuroprotection. A note on the bee venom work could appropriately be put as a subpage of that. We are keen, however, that references are made to original papers and reviews and so the PLoS One paper should be put in as a reference rather than the MyScienceWork one: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3630120/ . I note that when you go to that PMC web page there are also other relevant references which usefully put this paper in context.

Do let me know what you think of our wikiversity project and whether you can see yourself helping to build it into a valuable and constantly evolving resource. You can write on my Talk page on wikiversity: V:User_talk:Droflet. I'd be happy to help you find your way through this project and get started.
