A belated welcome! edit

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Elliott David! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

You have probably already noticed; just for the reference, the easiest way to create a signature on talk pages is to use four tildes (~~~~), which will automatically insert your username and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! ~ ToBeFree (talk) 04:12, 2 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Confirmed" status added edit

Hi Elliott David,

Thank you very much for the kind feedback!

I just had an idea. The page protection added in response to your message also prevents yourself from editing the page. That's an unintentional side effect. As it is clear that you are here with good intentions and the necessary care for editing biograpical articles, I'm adding a permission to your account that allows you to edit such protected pages. This would automatically be granted after 10 edits and 4 days of registration, so it's not a rare status or huge sign of confidence; it's rather meant as an unbureaucratic way of allowing you to help further without having to request edits.

Please note that if you have a connection to the article subject, you should read WP:COI – else, please disregard this line of text. I just need to make sure that you have been informed about WP:COI before encouraging you to edit the article.

Best practices for dealing with biographies on Wikipedia can be found at WP:Biographies of living persons; an introduction to citing references can be found at WP:INTREF.

Best regards,
