Third World edits

I've reverted your edits to this article. I'm not really certain of what you're doing, but it looks like you're copying another article (Third-Worldism) into the main article for Third World. If you're trying to merge the pages together, this isn't the way to do this. For a page merge you would first need to bring up a discussion on the article's talk page and see if anyone would contest or approve of the page merge. After that, you would need to re-write the Third-Worldism article to be a subsection rather than an entire article. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:50, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Creative Commons licenses

Hi, I wanted to give you a head's up about Creative Commons licenses. I saw that you had content on your article that came from here. The site uses a Creative Commons license, however the type of license they use isn't compatible with Wikipedia. The reason for this is that their license forbids people from using their work for commercial purposes, whereas Wikipedia uses a Creative Commons license that allows people to use it for any purpose, including commercial purposes. It's honestly a very easy mistake to make, as the difference between the licenses can get really confusing. I actually keep a cheat sheet for my own purposes, since this can all get a little confusing. Two of the biggest things to look for with a Creative Commons license is that it allows people to adapt the work (ie, derivatives allowed) and that it allows commercial use (so no NC on the license).

Something else to keep in mind is that if we use their text, we have to attribute them within the page itself. This is something that can be a little tricky, so definitely let me know if you need me to add this attribution tag to a page. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:26, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
