Conflict of interest on article Funspot Family Fun Center

edit

  Hello, ArcadeMuseum. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Funspot Family Fun Center, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Conflict of interest

The updates to the Funspot page are to correct incorrect information regarding the American Classic Arcade Museum. I am a member of the organization and not an employee of Funspot. The incorrect information on the Funspot page regarding the American Classic Arcade Museum must be removed as it has and will cause a negative image of our non-profit organization. Please do not revert these changes back to the incorrect information. I will continue to update this information until stops being reverted back to incorrect information and will take whatever steps necessary to ensure the organization is not defamed or falsely represented. ArcadeMuseum (talk) 01:19, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Just because information is unflattering does not mean that it should be removed. The information you removed was cited, so there's no reason to remove it. Aspening (talk) 02:48, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Conflicting information

edit

The organization was not founded by Funspot, the games that belong to the organization are not owned, acquired, repaired, restored or maintained by Funspot. The previous information was conflicting and misconceiving. As a non profit organization that functions separately from Funspot, this information must be updated. It is not about unflattering information, it is about uncorrect and outdated information, and the federal status of the organization. Until an individual page for the American Classic Arcade Museum is created and can be linked, we will move to have correct and updated information included in this page.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 18:12, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am an online content creator who volunteers to add content for the American Classic Arcade Museum. I am not employeed by the Museum or Funspot; the owner of the building in which the Museum resides. My attempt to correct outdated and incorrect information regarding the Museum has resulted in the account being blocked after 1 day of attempting to update this information. The organization is non profit and is portrayed through the Funspot Wikipedia page as being owned and operated by Funspot. The majority of the original edits made are still included in the article. Due to the political information under the Other Ventures section of the Funspot article, my attempt was to add clarification of the nature of the Museum, not advertise or promote. The Museum cannot have any political ties or show of preference, by law that governs non profit organizations, that coincide with that of Funspot and it's owners. The nature and mission of the Museum, as well as its non profit status and governances are public record. Much of the information cited on Funspot wiki is close to a decade old, or more. I will move to change my username and email address, as the content I would like added is not of my opinion, and is based on information I have gathered from the Museum operators and public record. Any new content that requires citation will include necessary citation. My attempt is to correct relevant facts related to this Museum until an individual page for the Museum is created.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 12:13, 30 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
