Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:29, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

The current block of 217.117.16.0/20 (descr: Baltneta customers) is too wide. It blocks all IP addresses of this ISP allocated to its customers. I doubt that every customer is running an open proxy. Have you tried reporting abuse to abuse@balt.net?

Accept reason:

There was a floating web-proxy on this range in November 2011, and it was used abusively. Apparently it has jumped to another range and/or is suspended. Thanks for bringing this up. Materialscientist (talk) 04:53, 29 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Photo usage edit

Hi, I've been working on a small game built around animal quizzes and I wanted to let you know I've used one of the pictures you've uploaded. I assume in this case you are the photographer as well.

I found your picture here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Potamobius_astacus.jpg

And I attributed the picture like this: D. Makavicius (sorry the special characters couldn't be rendered by the font) and also added a link to the license: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:public_domain

I hope you're happy with it, please let me know if this is not the case. You can find the game here: http://apps.facebook.com/animalalbum Or through here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/AnimalAlbum/156339584490672

Kind regards, Garfunkel Jansen (talk) 06:15, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

P.S. Thanks for taking the picture and making it available.

Lithuanian help needed edit

Hello E rulez, I'm contacting you because we need some Lithuanian translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on lt.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Lithuanian Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 22:05, 5 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Is the following template, prepared with assistance from my friend Jekaterina, of assistance to Lithuanian Wiki? Looking forward to hearing from you. M Mabelina (talk) 19:10, 5 January 2015 (UTC):
