Needs sourcing. Can you add where you got this image to the information on it? Some bot is going to see it has no sourcing info and mark it for deletion. Give the website or whatever where you found it and WHY it's in the PD.. thanks! This is important as it is about to be on the main page! ++Lar: t/c 11:57, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Price of Buffalo Coin

edit

I understand that you perhaps feel you "own" the Buffalo Coin article since you wrote it, but the price is NOT based on the spot price of gold and a small premium. The mint has announed a fixed price of $800. Spot on gold is under $600. -- Cecropia 18:07, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fotolia

edit

A tag has been placed on Fotolia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 06:04, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good faith editing ... or spam?

edit

I have been taking you on good faith when you wrote that you recreated the Fotolia article because you were surprised Wikipedia lacked an article on this company. Then I saw that you added a referral code to the URL for the company's web site:[1]

  1. Before: http://www.fotolia.com
  2. After your edit: http://www.fotolia.com/partner/318516

fotolia.com/partner/318516 spam on Wikipedia

edit

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Since my polite note last month, you've continued, using anonymous IP addresses in South Florida:

Please stop. --A. B. (talk) 21:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image without license

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Lincoln Memorial Interior Panoramic.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 01:11, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Unconquered at Doak Campbell Stadium.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 21:17, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fotolia (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The file File:Lightning Over Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 25 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Azamat Bagatov

edit

The article Azamat Bagatov has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
