Dwyer function edit

I read the new article that you created at Dwyer Function. If you have references from reliable sources that refer to this function by this name, it would be a good idea to add them to the article, to demonstrate that it does not breach Wikipedia's "no original research" policy. Hi Gandalf61. Thanks for the tip - I have added reliable sources to the page and will add more soon.

I see you have provided a link to a paper at Algana Associates. I think this falls under the category of self-published sources, which are not generally regarded as reliable sources in Wikipedia. A reference to the term "Dwyer function" in a peer-reviewed publication would be better. Also, if you are the same John Dwyer who authored that paper, you should make sure you are aware of the guidelines at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Gandalf61 (talk) 11:17, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've brought that page closer to the conventions of Wikipedia:Manual of Style and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (mathematics). In particular, note the lower-case initial "f" in the article's title and the various math notation edits I did. Michael Hardy (talk) 16:35, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
