Given your interest and expertise in Mesoamerican archaeology, you might be interested to have a look around at the project pages of WikiProject Mesoamerica, which is a forum for collaboration by like-minded editors on articles and topics related to Mesoamerica. You'd be most welcome to join in, offer suggestions or comments, and raise and discuss matters, either at the central project discussion board or on the talkpages of relevant articles. At any one time we typically have around half-a-dozen or so folks regularly or semi-regularly updating Mesoamerican articles, and given the mountain of improvements and additions to be done, we're always glad to have new participants aboard. - By the way, I agree with the sentiments expressed on your user page- the minutiae of fandom has its place in the world, though I idly wish so much of it didn't end up here on wikipedia. Still never mind, I guess we can still make progress on improving coverage of more serious topics, even if not quite at the same rate that Pokémon articles etc abound. Image copyright problem with File:Cyark logo.gif edit
Thanks for uploading File:Cyark logo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Forstemann quotes in Dresden Codex edit
The point of these quotes is to document where the "end of the world" meme began. True or false is irrelevant. BTW Mark Van Stone's contributions are not even in the same league as Forstemann's. It's like putting a minor leaguer up against Mickey Mantle. Have you ever actually looked at or read Forstemann's commentary? Quiet Breeze 63.232.20.2 (talk) 21:08, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
I am happy to acknowledge Forsetmann's contributions to the field, particularly, as with many of his era, to the analysis of material that was previously not studied in a scholarly manner. Many of his numbers were accurate and his work groundbreaking. However, as with many of his contemporaries, Forstemann's conclusions and commentary were based on pure speculation as we did not understand the glyphs yet; the same could be said of Thompson. It does not invalidate their work. It simply acknowledges that we have moved beyond certain aspects of it. No one talks about Queen Moo over at Chichen Itza anymore, either. I noticed that you are the main individual who has posted numerous examples our Creative Commons-licensed images on Wikipedia. This is fine with us and we appreciate the further dissemination of our information. One project with issues, however, is Qal'at-al-Bahrain - The images for that particular project are held under more restrictive copyright by the Ministry of Culture of Bahrain and SCDS Pro Inc, and are not covered under Creative Commons license. We respectfully request that you remove these particular images. The other CyArk images you have used are fine and covered by Creative Commons license. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

- Hello, this is just a quick note about the CSD tagging of the new article I penned, Anywhere (band). Though the CSD was already removed by User:StephenBuxton, I just wanted to throw in my two cents about the high notability of the musicians involved in this new project. Cedric Bixler-Zavala is a multi-platinum recording artist with rock bands Mars Volta and At The Drive In, while Mike Watt is a legendary rock/punk musician whose career spans decades. The only questionable candidate for notability in the combo is, ironically, its primary songwriter Christian Eric Beaulieu, who played in a San Francisco band called Triclops!, all links to which are currently directed towards a disambiguation page while I assess the latter band's notability to see if it merits a page of its own. An initial peek seems to suggest that Triclops! was notable, with a single that was the last release on noted independent label Gold Standard Labs and two full-length albums on the long-running record label Alternative Tentacles, all of which were widely reviewed in major music media and coupled with international touring. As this is a busy week for me, however, that band's page might need to wait for a minute. Meantime, Anywhere (band) seems to meet notability requirements as the combo is about to release its second EP and seems to be building steam for a wider release. There is quite a bit more online media regarding the band's debut, but since its media outreach thus far seems to be built off a single press release most of it is formatted very similarly to the one external link I already established. Notability is also significantly burnished by substantial excitement in the progressive rock community over the existence of this band, though chatter on message boards obviously does not merit inclusion as a reference.
