How can I help you? You can ask your questions here and I will respond.--Commander Keane 20:34, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! It's probably a stupid question but I noticed when I wanted to make an addition to an article on German Wikipedia that I couldn't log in with this account and had to create a new one (albeit with the same name). Is this normal? Are the different language Wikipedias all separate. At least it let me create an account with the same name and there wasn't a conflict. Thank you! --Dub8lad1 21:01, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Not a stupid question, but one of the most popular requests! Unfortunately, at this time, you need to create an account for each different Wikipedia. This may change in the future.--Commander Keane 21:40, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I'll learn to live with it so!--Dub8lad1 21:51, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Helpme returns edit

What do you need help with?--Commander Keane 00:36, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

-- I was wondering how to display images in a different language version of an article which are displayed in the original article. Thank you--Dub8lad1 00:38, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

If the image is in the Commons (it will say on the image description page) then it can already be used on an language Wikipedia. If the image has a free licence (GFDL or Public domain etc) then you can upload it to the Commons so all language Wikipedias can use it. If you do so you must record all the original uploading information. Wikipedia:Uploading images may have some more information.--Commander Keane 00:48, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cologne-Rath/Heumar edit

Thank you for contributing this stub! I have listed it at Portal:Germany/New article announcements. I am not certain whether the title is optimal, but I see it is the obvious translation of Köln-Rath/Heumar (I have commented at the announcement page, I hope somebody else will confirm your title or my uncertainty). If you have questions or need help of a German speaker, a good place to ask is the talk page of the German-speaking noticeboard. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 02:33, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

And of course you are invited to list any other articles about Germany that you create on the announcement page. Kusma (討論) 02:34, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I was unsure whether the title with the hyphen plus the slash gives the right impression of what the hierarchical relationship between the three names is, and the combination of the (somewhat German) convention you used with the English name for Köln looks slightly odd to me. I can't really find a specific rule in the Wikipedia:Naming conventions, though, and so your article title is probably fine with redirects from the other possible titles Rath/Heumar, Rath-Heumar, Köln-Rath/Heumar that should all exist and be tagged with the correct redirect template (see WP:R for a list; if you have problems with this, drop me a line and I'll help). And you should try to create links to it from other articles so more people can see your stub. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 15:10, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Germany Invitation edit

Hello, Dub8lad1! I'd like to call your attention to the WikiProject Germany and the German-speaking Wikipedians' notice board. I hope their links, sub-projects and discussions are interesting and even helpful to you. If not, I hope that new ones will be.
