What's the odds? Hm, well, 1 in 365. Anyway, came across your user page. Enjoyed the user boxes. And Gilbert Gottfried is hysterical. Best, Coolmojito 08:56, 23 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Cheesestar

edit
  Barnstar
Awarded for the audio recording of Cheese, which must have taken even longer to do than it just took me to listen to. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 23:08, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

(Now that I have you buttered up (better than cheesed off, I suppose), a small gripe: the audio cuts out or skips significantly twice in the first para of "Cheese in Language".) —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 23:08, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I didn't think I'd get a barnstar for my first spoken article :) I fixed the part you mentioned where it skips. Anything else you'd like to bring up? --Donbert 01:01, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, it was the first bit of mostly-my-work to get speakified. Spokulated. Something. It seemed good to me, not that I've ever listened to any others by comparison -- I was particularly impressed by the confident pronounciation on the various foreign-language words. Thanks again. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:38, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Maybe I'm the onl one with this problem, but I cannot get Cheese.ogg to work at all, no matter what I do. It seems like a problem with the file itself, as I can download and listen to any other ogg file, which is why I'm directing this at you. When I download it, I get a 0 byte file, so I'm not sure what the problem is. If it is a file problem, would you be able to fix it? I'll try downloadign it again tomorrow to make sure it's not me. --Wizardman 04:02, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm getting that same problem too. It must be a screwup with the Wiki servers, because I haven't modified it since I uploaded it in August. If it's still like that tomorrow, I'll re-upload it. --Donbert 05:57, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Never mind, works now. --Wizardman 06:27, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation of controversy

edit

I think you posted the file in the disputed pronunciations page. There is something wrong with it. Can you repost it?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Tgadzikwa (talkcontribs)

I fixed it, thanks for pointing that out --Donbert 21:10, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Streetlight_Manifesto_-_Everything_Went_Numb_(sample).ogg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Streetlight_Manifesto_-_Everything_Went_Numb_(sample).ogg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 22:21, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use disputed for Image:Dmitri Mishkin.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Dmitri Mishkin.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 21:27, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Furry

edit
Looking for something to do? WikiProject Furry is improving articles on furry and anthropomorphic topics, and we'd like to have you on board.

Our current goal is to raise Anthrocon, furry convention and furry fandom to good article status and beyond - but if that doesn't take your fancy, there are plenty of other articles to work on. Give it a go and let us know how you're doing!

You received this one-time invitation because you are a Furry Wikipedian. GreenReaper 22:39, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:CVU status

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Image:TheShipHUD.jpg

edit

I have tagged Image:TheShipHUD.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 16:16, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
