hi. another editor has asked you on BLPN for sources in English. perhaps you will want to know about WP:NONENG (and also WP:SOURCEACCESS, for any concerns about paywall/nonfree sources). 80.1.251.189 (talk) 17:13, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Antonio Petrus Kalil edit

Hi DonCalo, I've been pinged again about Antonio Petrus Kalil. [1] As there have been BLP complaints about this since at least 2009 (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Antonio Petrus Kalil, which resurfaced in 2011 and again recently, it needs to be sorted out by making sure the text says what the best sources say and doesn't go beyond them.

I see you do a lot of good work in this area, and you're obviously very knowledgeable, so I want to defer to your judgment. But I've been asked as an admin to find a resolution, and I'm starting to feel nervous about letting more time pass without it being addressed. Therefore, could you please continue to respond at the BLP noticeboard (permalink), and offer your views about moving the article to draft space?

That seems like a good compromise, because it means you can work on it at your own convenience without the pressing BLP issues caused by it being hosted in the encyclopaedia. WP:BLP does apply to draft space too, but not quite so urgently because at least it's not being picked up Google. SlimVirgin (talk) 21:09, 26 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, as there's still no response from you, I'm going to revert to the 2011 stub. As for the draft-space suggestion, I'd forgotten that Talk:Antonio Petrus Kalil/draft already exists. Perhaps you and the complainant could work together there to create something based on sources you can both agree on, and if there are sticking points, we can look around for a third party who understands Portuguese.
I'm sorry to do this, but I'm worried about leaving possible BLP violations in the article when the subject's family is requesting their removal. SlimVirgin (talk) 00:00, 28 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ciao edit

Please do not move articles by cutting and pasting edit

Doing so fragments the page history. Wikipedia has a move page functionality that allows page moves while keeping the history in one piece. If you feel a move may be controversial, or the move fails, see Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thank you. MER-C 12:26, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

The Montreal crime family edit

The articles named "Cotroni crime family" and "Rizzuto crime family" have to linked in one article named "Montreal crime family", because the two families are two internal factions in the biggest Montreal crime family, created by the Bonannos in 1954 (as Bonanno crime family Montreal faction), by Carmine Galante.[1] The Cotronies took over the family from 1956 to 1984, when Vic Cotroni was died, and was replaced by Nick Rizzuto. From the internal war of 1974-1978, the Cotronis are named "Calabrian faction" and the Rizzutos are named "Sicilian faction", although the made man are generic Italians (including some Northern Italians as Anthony Volpato).--What When (talk) 19:51, 26 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

The Montreal crime family as an entity does not exist, there are no reliable sources to back up this claim, except for some unreliable amateur Mafia sites. Your construction is not anywhere followed by any serious expert. The Rizzutos and the Cotronis are crime families based in Montreal, they are not THE Montreal crime family, which is a fantasy of your imagination. Please stop pushing your WP:POV, just like your sockpuppets.

You have right when you affirm that "The Montreal crime family as an entity does not exist", but this is a term for hint you that the Cotronis and the Rizzutos are one thing. The better term for called this "thing" is "Bonanno crime family Montreal Faction" (similar to the Genovese and Lucchese's New Jersey factions) or "Sixth Family" (comparison of its power at the Five Families), although the Canadian authorities consideres this a "Satellite crime family", because although its depend of the Bonannos administration, it's structured as a normal crime family (Famous boss was Vito Rizzuto, and his consigliere was Paolo Renda until his probably murder. Also famous underboss was Paul Violi, in the 1972-1978). Listen me, buy "The Sixth Family" of Humphreys&Lamothe of 2009: is a very big book on the Rizzutos and the Montreal mafia, and there are a lot of secure sources (inlcuding the tastifies of Salvatore Vitale, Frank Lino and various informant linked with the Sixth Family)! Good reading (no rancor). :)--What When (talk) 17:10, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I don't quite understand what you mean, I am afraid. Just stay away from editing these pages, please, you don't make sense. - DonCalo (talk) 17:42, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok, i stay away from editing these pages, but i can change the articles if i have the sources?--79.25.228.196 (talk) 12:43, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

Thank you for the welcome :) I am still new to this Wiki thing, trying to contribute with information I've gathered over the years. When it comes to Gaetano Grado the information on his page is taken from either the lone page I've referenced (which details all), or from other pages in this wiki such as Michele Cavataio. I'll try to do better references next time as I still need to get a grasp on the layout. However I can assure that it is not my intention to spread false information or lies - and in my opinion, even if a page starts out not so great, it's better to have a start than have nothing at all, since the page can be improved over time.

Cheers.
