Dixie Paumier Clement

edit

Hey @Diserak, I Hope you're doing well.

I noticed that you have moved Dixie Paumier Clement article from draft to mainspace. Whereas before you this article was drafted by a senior editor @Voorts.

I am not happy with this work you have done. You can't do it that way. Only senior users can do this. Please keep this in mind in future. And do all the work as per the guidelines of Wikipedia.

Thanks!!

  • Youknowwhoistheman: It seems to me that the edits made by Diserak have contributed to the quality of the article. There is no reason why Diserak should not move the article to mainspace if it appeared to have reached basic requirements. You will still be credited as the creator of the article. We do not generally distinguish between senior editors and other contributors, although administrators have of course a special status and can use tools and facilities which are not accessible to other editors. Most of us welcome contructive contributions to our articles. One of the main attractions of Wikipedia is its encouragement of collaboration. As far as I can see, the only item in the article which has been removed is "He was the eldest son of Mildmay Thomas Charlton Clement, a civil engineer, and his wife Lucy Clara, formerly known as Lucy Christie.", no doubt because it was not covered by the source you referenced. If you can back it with an appropriate source, you can of course reinsert it.
I also see, Diserak, that you are interested in creating and improving articles about women. You might therefore find it useful to become a member of WikiProject Women in Red where we are trying to improve the coverage of women on Wikipedia. You can sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:03, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Youknowwhoistheman: Any editor is entitled to contest draftification by moving an article back to the mainspace. The next step after that is AfD to either redraftify it or delete it. That said, it is usually better as a matter of courtesy to consult the editor who created the article in the mainspace after it has been moved to draft space before sending it back to the mainspace. voorts (talk/contributions) 17:47, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
