Yodit Getahun

dear Dillard421.

i am trying to deleted the page i created about Ms. Yodit Getahun, my reason is that ,someone is using advantage of it to promote his/her own agenda, the person even uploaded a picture of someone else , that is not the picture of the girl i posted about, everything posted by the person who's been editing the page is a complete fabrication, and i am almost done with research to prove it, until i do that i would like to delete the page.

please help. thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Belete Gibru (talkcontribs) 22:11, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi Dillard. Thanks for the message about ownership of Wikipedia articles etc. I do, of course, understand that there is no 'ownership' of information on Wikipedia, and that other users are free to change anything. However, there's a particular situation here where someone has republished copyright information on their own website and is linking to it from this Wikipedia page. Please understand that this republished information includes people's names, addresses, phone numbers, and other personal information, which has been posted on a publicly accessible web page. This makes the people concerned feel (understandably) very vulnerable. I am one of the Directors of WWOOF UK and WWOOF Independents, and I'm receiving worried emails from people. I'm trying to get the offending information removed, but in the meantime we're at least trying to minimise the number of people who find it. For this reason, keeping this link off the Wikipedia page is important to people's feeling of security in their own homes. Please understand the nature of this situation and why it needs to be taken seriously. Thanks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.159.9.61 (talk) 04:18, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

This sounds like you need Suppression. Please see this page Wikipedia:Oversight. You may need to make a request for Oversight to have it removed. Thanks! Dillard421♂♂ (talk to me) 23:10, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Dillard. That's excellent info - I'll follow it up. I appreciate your help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.159.28.216 (talk) 17:19, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Literal translation Dutch page on Castle de Haar

Dillard, I have made a translation of the Dutch page on Kasteel de Haar. Since I have had some issues translating the page, maybe you can view it to see if it is all correct English. Wereldburger758 (talk) 05:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

RE: Barnstar of Integrity

Thank you very much for the barnstar and kind comments! I am glad that other editors like yourself recognize the importance of process. When it comes to AIV reports, I find it somewhat ... ironic that people bypass the rules themselves in order to have someone else blocked for not following the rules (or as my grandma used to call it, "do as I say, not as I do"). Personally, I am such a strong believer in process, it is one of the few userboxes I have on my userspace page! Thanks again, — Kralizec! (talk) 21:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Zebra puzzle (sic)

I had forgotten about the discussion about the contradiction! When you replace the "sic" perhaps you could make a quick mention in the Edit Summary box, so lazy editors like me are clued in ... - DavidWBrooks (talk) 18:31, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

True, Reasoning is now located on the talk page, I should have manually reverted your edit, or you could have done it yourself...; however, I did not. So I just elaborated it on the article Talk page. Dillard421♂♂ (talk to me) 20:55, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rio grande adelante

Please go ahead and delete the article. I was working on it, however have since learned better ways to edit it. Please delete this article and I will recreate it on a personal page before I make it got live.

Thank You, - Danny —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thedishrag (talkcontribs) 22:27, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
