May I ask why you're changing Rif to Riff on several pages? ~ Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:42, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think the spelling is more accurate. Dergadoo (talk) 22:00, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

It is not.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 22:59, 16 March 2019 (UTC) Or at least it should be discussed on each talk page.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 23:12, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

It is. You'll find on the The Republic of the Rif page it is spelled with two F's on the Riffian currency note.--Dergadoo (talk) 23:12, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

And it already has been on anther Riffian page.--Dergadoo (talk) 23:13, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

These bills were made by a British smuggler. Please also notice that sometimes there are errors on banknotes, even those officially produced, see [1] or [2].--Le Petit Chat (talk) 23:29, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Both name are correct if I understand correctly, but most people, including Moroccans, used Rif.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 23:28, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

If both are correct then why does it matter which one is used?--Dergadoo (talk) 23:44, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Both Rif and Riff are used to talk about the region. But, for instance, all the reliable sources are talking about the Republic of the Rif and the Rif War. The question is about the reliable sources, not about the one you think more correct.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 08:55, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 16 March 2019 edit

Rif → Riff – The Riffian Republic's currency - The Riffan note, which is sourced and pictured on the very "Rif Republic" page itself, spells it Riff. Dergadoo (talk) 03:31, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think you put this on the wrong page. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:46, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oh, which page did I put it on? Dergadoo (talk) 13:22, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wait, I just checked and it was the "Rif" page I put it on but it was removed. That was the right page. Dergadoo (talk) 13:31, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Rif edit

I undid your move to Riffian War. Please read WP:COMMONNAME.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 22:50, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Also, if you disagree with other editors about what an article should say, discuss the matter with them and try to come to an agreement. Don't just keep repeating your preferred version and ignoring other editors' opinions. Breaking sticks (talk) 23:15, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

I already did. I didn't think it was necessary to discuss the same subject over and over especially considering my version is more grammatically correct in terms of wording/spelling and identical in meaning.--Dergadoo (talk) 23:29, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
You don't seem to have understood what I said. You think that your version is more "correct", but others don't. Ignoring what other editors think and just going ahead and repeatedly doing what you think is "correct" is not acceptable, because Wikipedia is a collaborative project. Editors who won't work collaboratively may be blocked from editing by administrators, to prevent them from causing problems. Breaking sticks (talk) 23:57, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

No. It's not a matter of me not seeming to "understand" what you said - It's a matter of you blatantly not seeming to even know that the thing that you are claiming to be something that "I think is "correct" and others do not" is that an adjective preceeding a noun is more accurate than another noun preceeding a noun - If that can only be correct if people agree with it then your making Wikipedia too much of a "collaborative project" and not enough of the only thing that it more importantly is - A factual project. Dergadoo (talk) 03:06, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your version is the one made by a British smuggler. Please read this article. Anyway, thank for your discussion because I did not know the story of the Bank of the Riff. But please avoid correcting others without a proper WP:RS.--Le Petit Chat (talk) 23:36, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
The fact that it was already on several of the pages prior to any of my modifications proper enough?--Dergadoo (talk) 23:49, 16 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
