Why did you blank several sections of my talk page to notify my of a WP:CSD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TonyTheTiger (talkcontribs) 21:39, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
I can assure you this was accidental. Twinkle does the work for me. Notify its developers. Thanks, George D. Watson (Dendodge).TalkHelp and assistance  21:42, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Done. I copied it from someone else and presumed it would be Ok. Please accept my apologies. Thanks, George D. Watson (Dendodge).TalkHelp and assistance 22:15, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion: Ian Frazer

You put a speedy-delete note on my talk page regarding Ian Frazer (poker player), claiming that it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. I believe that if you re-read the article you will see that I have noted his numerous tournament wins (all televised too.) Note that I did not remove the speedy-delete tag. Protection

I have semi-protected Tyrannosaurus for one month. Thanks for the request and happy editing, Malinaccier (talk) 00:41, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Avian dinosaurs

You're correct that pterosaurs are not dinosaurs. However, "avian" doesn't mean "flying" it means "bird". Birds are dinosaurs. See origin of birds (still being worked on). Sheep81 (talk) 04:22, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Not a problem, you now know something you didn't before, and that is always worth the time. Sheep81 (talk) 20:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

As well, how is Omineca Cablevision not notable? they are a cable company in British Columbia, like Persona Inc.. RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 20:30, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Alrighty. thanks. Sorry if i sounded like i was biting off your head. I'm not trying to. I'm just very annoyed of people vandalising my talk pages (it tends to happen in waves). RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 20:33, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Semi-protect

Could an admin please semi-protect my user page, I don't like the idea of users who are not yet well established editing it, there's no rush but it would be nice. Thanks, George D. Watson (Dendodge).TalkHelp and assistance 13:57, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I've done it for you. This is perfectly acceptable within the Protection Policy. - Rjd0060 (talk) 15:29, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Adoption offer

I'll happily accept, although I don't need much help, just know how not to bite users and other stuff because I got involved with too much stuff that got me blocked thrice, once for outrageous claims of sockpuppetry, once for 1 second, and another one for violating my topic ban (yes, I'm topic banned.) I've been here for awhile now, so, thanks for the offer. I accept. BoL 04:03, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Help Desk Link

Hey, Dendodge. I noticed a couple times now you've been giving people warnings for posting the link to internetisseriousbusiness.com - what exactly is on there, and should we try to get it blacklisted? Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:04, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

As a note, both users who added the link now blocked and the link has been blacklisted. Next time you add a proposed link to the blacklist talkpage, remember to include diffs of its addition, it should speed up the process. Thanks. Woody (talk) 22:32, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Vandalism notice

I'm a casual browser who found vandalism on the page for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and decided to revert it. I missed a section, and when the rest was reverted, I was blamed for it and you left a message on my page regarding this. Please recheck the edit history. Speedies on redirects

You'd do better to check what links to a redirect like Hugh MacCawell, before adding them to your braglist. Your nomination makes no sense (alternate spelling of an Irish name). Using an automated tool doesn't excuse this. Charles Matthews (talk) 17:47, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Shakespeare's influence on modern literature was profound. He had a vocabulary of 30000 whereas the average peasant had about 5000 word vocab. If you want to make a wiki project dedicated to improving the shakespeare resources on wikipedia, i will back you 100%, he made the word bubble man, you cannot get better than that.--Tom.mevlie (talk) 11:44, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

If this sounds rude, I apologise. I strongly encourage you to remove your FA, GA and B-class articles from the top of your userpage. Out of the three articles you apprently helped to bring to GA status, you have, in total, less than 10 edita. And, out all of your apparent good articles, you only have ~15 edits. You claim you have written these, but you only have one or two edits to each, which is unfair to users who have spent hours and hundreds of hours bringing these articles to the status they were. I strongly recommend you remove them, as I don't want you to look bad, and it kinda seems like you're status-seeking. Thanks, and happy editing. Qst (talk) 19:19, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Ribbon numeral 7

  Resolved

--George D. Watson (Dendodge).TalkHelp 19:45, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

You need a seven??? Ok, I'll get it as soon as I get back from dinner. Just so you know, however, the ribbon you are using for your hidden page barnstars is actually intended to represent the Invisible Barnstar, a different award. You may want to use the placeholder ribbon instead. Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:51, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

The numerals are finished - since I had to do three of them anyway, I just went ahead and finished the series, making a star to represent ten or more of the same award. I also had a request for another ribbon at about the same time, so I also designed a ribbon for the hidden barnstar while I had the template open. Here's the ribbon, and the necessary code to overlay the number. Enjoy! Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:56, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

P.S. - If you rearrange your user page, you may need to adjust where the number is located to avoid leaving a great white footprint behind (see WP:RIBBON for an example of what I'm talking about). If that's the case, just tweak the numbers in the code there. It may take a few hits of the preview button to get right, but it's easy enough to figure out by testing. I believe I'm going to go for an RfA sometime in the near future - an administrator who participated in my last two RfAs has also offered to nominate me, and is more or less waiting for me to give him to go-ahead, I think. I will certainly let you know when that happens, however - it's not at all uncommon for there to be co-nominations and I would be honored to have your support.
As for the barnstar, however, I feel obligated to decline. While you are very welcome for the ribbon & numerals, and I do thank you for the award, three of the last four barnstars I've been given were given for almost precisely the same reason, the last one being awarded just last night. I'll add your reason along with that barnstar, but I won't take the credit for being awarded an additional star. Thank you very much all the same. Hersfold (t/a/c) 23:52, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

AIV

  Resolved

--George D. Watson (Dendodge).TalkHelp 23:21, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for the qeuestion re:the AIV report. I removed the report on 68.82.58.106 because he had only made one vandalism edit in the last month and had not edited since he had received an only warning for that vandalism. The main earlier warnings on the IP talk page were back in June 2007 which I do not consider recent enough to take into account for an IP address especially as IP addresses may have different people using them and this is even more likely over a period of nine months. If vandalism continues to happen from that IP address in the near future then a short block could be appropriate then as blocks given from AIV are generally only for recent persistent vandalism. Hope this answers your query. Davewild (talk) 22:58, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
