Request reason:

Unblock please. I am a faculty member at Auburn University at Montgomery and this is a new account. There has been no conflict of interest in my edits nor has my editing been disruptive. Thank you. Deco Engel (talk) 06:18, 27 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

CHeckuser confirmed abuser of multiple accounts. only (talk) 12:19, 27 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I question whether there is any checkuser evidence of the sort. Because of sensitive issues relating to the disclosures I make above, this account was always conducted through a Swiss VPN host provided by Golden Frog. This is a sophisticated facility which blocks internet access immediately a connection goes down. It is possible that a connection was made through another server (I use Austin, USA, a great deal) and possibly a host IP at any of several locations in the UK, Holland and Switzerland I have been visiting, but I am certain there is nothing in the relatively few edits I have made that can credibly suggest multiple abuse of accounts.
Unfortunately the underlying issue is extremely serious. I shall consult with colleagues and elsewhere as how best to proceed. There may be a hiatus of some weeks or months as investigations continue. In the circumstances of the case, I see no point in advising the Wikimedia Foundation.
