Hi there,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is McKenna Joesten (employee of The Lions Models. I wrote this biography on behalf of David Alexander Flinn. All information was taken from his site with his permission. Could you please provide me with some additional feedback on what I need to change to get his page posted? All information is accurate and cited. David Alexander Flinn (talk) 16:08, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

@David Alexander Flinn: Thanks for your reply. I would tell you that you will need to do the following:
  • Since you say you are not David Alexander Flinn, you will need to change your username ASAP; you can request a change by visiting this page and following the instructions.
  • Since you state that you work for a company that (I assume) represents Mr. Flinn, you will need to review and comply with the paid editing policy(which is required by Wikipedia's Terms of Use) You will also need to review the conflict of interest policy before you edit further.
  • If you simply copied this information from Mr. Flinn's website, that is a copyright violation even if you have his permission; If Mr. Flynn wants to grant permission, he must donate the materials to Wikipedia himself. He will need to read this page for information on how to do that, and for what exactly that means.
  • You have posted a couple of links as sources, but these are not appropriate. What is needed is independent reliable sources that indicate how the notability guidelines for people are met.
I would lastly suggest that due to your conflict of interest, that you consent to deletion, and then visit Articles for Creation where you can submit a draft for feedback and an independent review before it is posted; that's likely the only way you will be permitted to create a page about Mr. Flinn. I apologize for giving you a lot of information, but these are important Wikipedia policies. If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks 331dot (talk) 16:16, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'm afraid that after a review, I found the content on the page you created to be both promotional and violating copyright. I have therefore deleted the page. I suggest you follow all of the pertinent advice given to you by 331dot, which I have copied over to this page for your convenience. Vanamonde (talk) 17:41, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
