Speedy deletion of Prince A960 edit

A tag has been placed on Prince A960 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. FlyingToaster (talk) 20:54, 10 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Oucipo edit

The article Oucipo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 21:23, 25 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:27, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copyright infringement in City Innovate Foundation edit

I'd just like to drop you a note that I have tagged City Innovate Foundation for speedy deletion for violating Wikipedia's policy on copyrighted material, as I understand that the article's creator User:Ali.ahmed created the article as part of your course. I hope you understand that plagiarism is strongly frowned upon in Wikipedia and the same should apply to university coursework. Cheers! CherylHew 01:20, 19 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello Cheryl and Dave! It was my belief that Wikipedia was meant to be a summarization of already existing information. I was under the impression that certain sections, particularly the 'team' and 'programs' section, were meant to be a literal copy of what was on their website (seeing as there current programs are brand new, there isn't much information on them, and my personal experience with the foundation led me to believe that the best description of there programs was what they already had on their website). Regardless - I am now re-adjusting the version in my sandbox. Let me know what you think on my user talk page! - User:Ali.ahmed
