Hello, Danielmharris, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi! You posted the following on my talk page:

Whenever I click on my sandbox, all it says is "this is the sandbox of User Danielmharris's user page. There is no where for me to edit anything, write anything, or work on anything. So, with the article I've been writing, I've just already published it (even though it is still very preliminary) and am just editing it when I need to add something. In addition to not having a functioning sandbox, when I titled my article, I created a title and for some reason it included User:Danielmharris at the beginning of my title, and no matter how hard I try to figure it out, I cannot seem to change the title of my article. I even went to the Wikipedia page about moving an article, and the screenshot that is listed on the page of where the move button is does not help me because on my page, there is no move button at that exact spot. There is no move button anywhere, really, so I cannot rename my article.
  • With the sandbox, you should be able to edit it by selecting the edit button at the top of the page.
  • As far as moving pages go, you won't be able to move anything live until you're autoconfirmed. This happens when you have at least ten edits under an account that's over 4-5 days old. Right now you only have nine edits.
  • I saw that you have a draft at User:Danielmharris/The Evolution of North African Jewry in the 20th Century, however I'm not really certain where this is supposed to go. This feels a bit like a research paper topic as opposed to an encyclopedia entry. Keep in mind that we can only summarize what reliable sources have explicitly stated on the topic - we can't create our own research or conclusions.
Keep in mind that there is already an article on the history of the Jews in Africa, which seems to be the general focus of this draft. If you want to focus more specifically on the Mizrahi Jews or the history of the Jews in Morocco, there's an article for these topics as well. I'm just not really sure what the focus of this is. If it's meant to be a new article, I'm not really sure that there's a need for this given the articles I already mentioned. Any information about Jewish people in North Africa as far as modern day goes should go into the main article about the history of Jewish people in Africa, as I'm concerned that this draft would be moved back to your userspace or deleted if it was moved live in its present state.

I hope that this all helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:28, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Houston Astros. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 04:44, 16 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
