The RFC is not formatted properly so we don't know if there are editors who are discussing the question or just one editor asking for a distinction. Regardless the question can be resolved by doing some Google searching. Damotclese (talk) 17:51, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

editThe feedback request service is asking for participation in this request for comment on Talk:The Second Stage Turbine Blade. Legobot (talk) 04:28, 29 January 2016 (UTC) I commented on this. What constitutes a specific labeling of a style of music is often a matter of opinion, heavy rock-n-roll is often called "metal" by a great many people however others will consider "metal" to be more "angry" than traditional rock... So there is a blurring of distinction. More information is better than less. Damotclese (talk) 16:53, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

editThe feedback request service is asking for participation in this request for comment on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Economy, trade, and companies. Legobot (talk) 04:28, 2 March 2016 (UTC) I commented on this. It's rare for me to get annoyed at an editor however I find that the need for this RFC is not valid, one of the editors obviously has some ideological reason for excluding a school from a list of accreditation and has not offered any valid reasons for doing so. Waste of time, editors shouldn't be engaged in petty reverting of other volunteer's valuable time and efforts. Damotclese (talk) 17:15, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Formal mediation has been requested
editThe Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "European Graduate School article content - Accreditation issue". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 19 March 2016.
Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

editThe feedback request service is asking for participation in this request for comment on Talk:2016 U.S.–Iran naval incident. Legobot (talk) 04:27, 15 March 2016 (UTC) This should be a no-brainer. I commented on this. The information being discussed is encyclopedic and news-worthy, and researchers should not be looking everywhere else for information that should be included in this volunteer encyclopedia. More information is better than less and so far as I could tell, the opposition to including the information was ideological, not encyclopedic. Damotclese (talk) 16:47, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

- As for the "not worded properly" issue, I went to the {{rfc}} template page which does not discuss wording, it just states that
"This template should immediately precede the signed (or just dated) text of the request."
If there is a problem with the wording then those instructions should be mentioned on the template page. Koala Tea Of Mercy (KTOM's Articulations & Invigilations) 17:27, 27 June 2016 (UTC)- Um no, individuals with zero relevance and notoriety of any kind do not qualify to be included in encyclopedias, however it is understood that Wikipedia falls far short of being a professional encyclopedia, even zeros like this man or woman who nobody has ever heard of may be added by anybody. So my comment remains factual, the page qualifies for summary deletion -- though of course nobody cars enough to bother. And yeah, the RFC was not worded properly. Damotclese (talk) 20:28, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- Please point me to the Wikipedia policies for "relevance" and "notoriety" as they relate to inclusion of topics on Wikipedia? I found WP:Relevance and WP:ROC but they both deal with content within an article, not the main subject. I am using WP:Notability and WP:MUSICBIO as my criteria and an individual who has been written up in 6 major publications and described in them not just as "yet another rapper" but rather as an "artist to watch" and "shaping the future of pop" is well above the minimum threshold for the official WP policies I mentioned. - Wow, this person needs to go home to its mother and cry about it. Looking at the page I agree, the page should be deleted, it's just for some random guy who gave himself a fake name and then expects to pretend he's famous or something. BiologistBabe (talk) 15:26, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ha! I know, the editor did not like the responses to the RFC and amusingly the "citations" that try to show that the nobody is somebody are laughingly pathetic. I'm more well known around the world and a Google search brings up over 300,000 pages that cover my law enforcement work and civil rights work, maybe I should create a page for myself, call myself "Green Kangaroo" and pretend I'm famous also. :) Damotclese (talk) 15:38, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- I saw that, should I comment on that page? If you Google that name, you find that the person isn't a celebrity or anything. It belongs in a local city page of notable people, perhaps, but the person is not legitimately notable.
- By the way, I Googled your name and I find a third of a million pages with your name on them, and if I us your middle initial, I get half a million pages thanks to your web site and your organized crime work. So yeah, if that nobody can have a Wikipedia page, you certainly qualify ha ha. TrainsOnTime (talk) 20:19, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- No need, the page is not important, the clown editor not important. And yeah, I saw BB's Facebook posting about the google searching results -- hilarious but my main web site has half a million pages so it's not surprising. Damotclese (talk) 16:13, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
Abusive editor on R2-45 was banned
editThat Scientology employee or whatever who was vandalizing and annoying R2-45 maintainer editors has been banned. I know you got tired of his/her shit and unwatched for the duration but the editor has been banned, you should watch again. TrainsOnTime (talk) 20:25, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for confirmation, I'll do watchlist it again, BB posted something about that on Facebook yesterday as well but did not have details. I will check the talk: page on R2-45 and also the offending editor's talk: page.
- It's ironic since the offending editor is a Scientology owner/operator/customer who attempted to remove the information about the criminal enterprise, harassed people to try to get them to be impolite and unprofessional so he/she could "Dev-T" their "buttons" and get them banned -- and the offending editor itself got banned. Classic. I assume that the page is semi-protected now as well. I'll go check. Damotclese (talk) 16:15, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Legobot (talk) 04:25, 30 June 2016 (UTC) I commented on this, the court ruling should have higher weight than corporate media coverage however both references are legitimate and solid. At this time there's no good reason to include the unfounded allegations. If in the future the Judge or Jury rules against the band, then it would be appropriate to include. - No he is not. No I am not. This is a Scientology agent that has been topic banned and yet here he is still trying to abuse and waste other people's time. So very typical of Scientology. BiologistBabe (talk) 17:11, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- It's what these Scientology owners/operators/customers call "Dev-T" -- "Develop traffic," they attempt to stop the truth about what the criminal enterprise does by flooding the truth with noise, wasting prosecutor's time, all of that. Damotclese (talk) 17:17, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Hey now, the discussion in there is getting a little too exciting and hot for me to want to dive in with an opinion. :) Comments in there are amusing, made me smile. Still I don't know enough about the subject to comment reasonably so I will not. Damotclese (talk) 17:20, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Requesting feedback
editWould you please check your email, I would like to see about creating a CTC page and would like to pass the initial draft through you. BiologistBabe (talk) 17:11, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, I got your email and it's true, we should maybe see if there's a broad page that you might consider creating which covers the entire PTC Class "C" and "D" functionality though you must be careful to avoid getting in to too much detail. You can see what other protocols look like and follow their example. Let me get something back to you on your submission. Damotclese (talk) 17:23, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
