Speedy deletion nomination of Time Is Valuable edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Time Is Valuable, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Theroadislong (talk) 17:22, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Danny Storm edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Danny Storm requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. There are plenty of sites like Myspace and Facebook where you can write about yourself, but Wikipedia is different: see WP:MUSICBIO for what a musical performer needs to have achieved before having an article, and WP:Autobiography for the reasons why writing about yourself is strongly discouraged in any case. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia edit

I explained higher up this page, but I will do it again:

Wikipedia is not like the social-networking sites where people write about themselves. It's a project to build an encyclopedia, and that means:

  • It's choosy about subjects for articles. They have to be notable, which means having been the subject of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." See WP:42. Your own Youtube channels don't count.
  • For musical performers and actors the notability standard is explained at WP:MUSICBIO and WP:ENTERTAINER. Wikipedia doesn't cover people who are "emerging" - see WP:UPANDCOMING - you will have to wait until your career has progressed.
  • Even for notable people, writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Sorry, but Wikipedia is not for what you want to do. I think it would be a good idea for you to read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:42, 13 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
