Paifu

I wanna nominate his article for good article status as well, except there's one problem: his article is over exceptionally long. Can you cut out, what you think, are uneeded statements and references in that article so I can get a good idea on what to take out next? I would start, only I need to see what someone else thinks. ~I'm anonymous

ill do it, just as soon as I finish undubbing a few pages. DBZROCKS 22:30, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
I just nominated Paifu for good article status as well. Did you finish undubbing those pages you wanted to fix? If you could, and I'm not saying you have to, please cut down what you think is an overload of information there so that it may be a successful good article example. I've been sort of denying to create Kajika's own main page (the main character in that story) also; I guess I'm just unanimated about going at it. What do you suggest? ~I'm anonymous
Know what? You're right! I don't know why I never though of that. But then again, I guess I'm still too lazy about going for it ;) Right now, I'm more worried about Paifu's — no one, whom I've contacted, wanted to fix it up save for a few users. ~I'm anonymous
I understand about Android #18. What about #17? Why is he categorized in Category:Fictional murderers, and not Category:Fictional mass murderers and Category:Anime and manga villains? ~I'm anonymous
I have no idea maybe you should change it. DBZROCKS 15:30, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

I will, and please look at the edits before blatantly reverting them[1]. Remember to assume good faith also. ~I'm anonymous

Done, sorry if I seemed a little uncivil. I just wanted to make sure you kept that in mind. We all make mistakes! :) ~I'm anonymous

Your editor review

Just to let you know, I reviewed you. Cheers--$UIT 04:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Androids Saga

Here. Now, please get an admin to move it back to its original location. Thank you. -- RattleMan 12:20, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, of course that was the FUNi site. Did the Japanese officials split the episodes up into named sagas? If so, show me an official link. -- RattleMan 12:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah the original Japanese had Four Dragon Ball Z sagas: Saiyan, Freeza, Cell and Buu. That was it The wikiproject Dragon Ball is duscussing the merging of all saga articles into those four. DBZROCKS 12:30, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

List of supernatural beings in Dragon Ball

FYI, I've made some changes to your work on List of supernatural beings in Dragon Ball. Please review Wikipedia:Summary style to understand why every single character listed cannot be in their own unique subsection. The table of contents is meant for simple navigation and summary, not for all-inclusive listing of every aspect of the article. Feel free to ask me any questions about this edit on my talk page. Nswinton\talk 17:34, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

I was recently contacted to take a look at List of extraterrestrials in Dragon Ball. I'm not sure who has been formatting the subheadings so that the Table of Contents contains a link to every item in the article, but please understand that this is an inappropriate use of subheadings. I hope that you'll work with me to clean up the article and use proper formatting to make the article truly great. Please remember that the Table of Contents is meant to contain links to new topics/categories in the article, not to every unique item. I'm sure we'll all be able to reach a civil consensus here. Goku Article

Some IP user is seriously messing up the Goku article (vandalising). They just keep editing after I already set the ground rules, I don't know what to do. I'm trying to revert, but they keep editing. What do you say? --MajinVegeta 21:12, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Keep warning and reverting and when theres a rispite report the guy to AIV. DBZROCKS 21:15, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Gaara

  • No, it shouldn't, because it has never been said whether Kazekage had any more children after Gaara. Trying to state otherwise is original research. JuJube 18:56, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Name change

You are starting to irritate me by not checking page histories. Check the page history before I started editing the pages — I did not change any names; merely fixed things up like the paragraphs, removed original research and corrected several messed-up redirects. It was already Gyumao, Chichi, Pu-erh, etc., before I suggested that we use all Daimao names instead of having manga, English and Daimao ones collaborate. I am going to revert you (again) since this screwed up all of the redirects (again). Please, bring this up on WP:DBZ as I clearly did not change anyone's name. ~I'm anonymous

Fine Ill get an admin to fix it DBZROCKS 19:51, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Before you do so, can I ask a question? ~I'm anonymous
Sure DBZROCKS 19:55, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
First off: please get into the habit of checking diffs and article histories before making potentially controversial edits and accusations. I only changed "Shenlong" to "Shen Long" because I had noticed that it was spelt as "Shen Long" on other pages, notably List of Earthlings in Dragon Ball. I do not accept blatant accusations, therefore, please check diffs/histories before you imply someone (me) of doing the edits. Now, I have an idea about the names, read this message first. Another message will be sent shortly. ~I'm anonymous

About the names, I don't know who changed them; I thought you or someone else had reconsidered the thought. That is what made me get interested in this project. I guess it was more than fate afterall. Then, I come to find redirects that were all wrong, I changed them. Shall we discuss why these names seem so obscure, I believe was the word? And I mean let's discuss, the goal of WP:DBZ is to use romanizations (somewhat) right? Let me send you another message on the list of names that were changed, I noticed Gyumao, Chichi and Pu-erh, though I'm unsure of any others. Give me a few minutes, ok? I'll send another message by then. ~I'm anonymous

"The Goal of WP:DBZ is to use romanisations". No it is not true. Some romanisations make sense (Coola Broli) yet some (Yamucha Chapa O) are lame and unnessisary. DBZROCKS 20:12, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Uh, I actually said "the goal of WP:DBZ is to use romanizations (somewhat) right?" "Somewhat" being the key word here. Look at these names below, answer these questions and explain to me yourself, which one is the most correct and romanized name that makes 100% sense?

Gyumao, Gyu-mao, Gyu Mao, Gyu mao, Gyu-Mao, Gyūmaō, Gyū-maō or Gyū-Maō? Which one, do you believe, makes the most sense? Why?

Puar, Pu-ar, Pu-erh, Pūarū, Pu'ar, Puaru, Puarū or Pūaru? Which one, do you believe, makes the most sense? Why?

Chi-chi, Chi-Chi, ChiChi or Chichi? Which one, do you believe, makes the most sense? Why?

Shenlong, Shen Long or Shenron? Which one, do you believe, makes the most sense? Why?

I have all the answers. I can provide you with pretty much clear explanations. First, your answers below please? ~I'm anonymous
Woah there since when was this an expostitory prompt!? can I hold off on a response? I have a project to do. DBZROCKS 20:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
As long as you can respond back to me eventually, it matters. I'm thinking about letting "Shenlong" stay as "Shenlong", not "Shen Long", because "Shen Long" is actually the Chinese variant, not Japanese. Kind of like how Steve Daimao strangely translated "Enma-sama" in the Japanese-audio English-subtitles to "Yama-sama". 'Til this day, I don't know why he did that, probably the Asian writing or something, see the Shen Long article. ~I'm anonymous
You still can't get around to responding man? These aren't that hard of questions, you know. ~I'm anonymous
Uh well its just that im only editing off and on while my computer loads and does certain things. doing such a large edit would severaly risk an edit conflict which i am seriously not in the mood for. DBZROCKS 22:30, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay. Then just get used to the names, ok? Some people don't mind, and no one (besides you) really disagrees. They're not that "obscure" anyways, right? I mean, is there such a big deal if its "Gyumao" or "Gyu-Mao"? Chi-Chi or Chichi? Pu-erh or Pu'ar? I'll make that they don't always get changed around anyways (it'll just screw up the redirects if they constantly do) If I were you, I'd leave 'em be, oh and always remember, check diffs and histories for who did what, alright? Friends? ~I'm anonymous
I have returned. In response to your most recent message, I don't know what "beef" you have with Pu-erh. What is so wierd about it? It is derived from Pu-erh tea, as Toriyama even said in the "Ask Me Anything" section in one of the DB manga volumes. I will admit that the Asian writings are different, as you can see: Pu-erh (プーアル) and Pu-erh (tea) (普洱(茶)), but that's because one is Japanese and the other Chinese, though I could be wrong about this translation stuff all the way. Heck, I ain't Asian, or a specialist at Asian writing for that matter. Maybe Pu'ar is the best one to use here, assuming the person(s) that translated the Dragon Ball manga into English are correct. Consider this: you don't have to contact that administrator, I'll change it all back to Pu'ar and fix the redirects (again) myself. That is, should we use that manga name which was given by Viz who, "took many liberties in translating names", as you once told me? ~I'm anonymous
No no now that I think about it Pu-erh is good. Sorry for all the trouble. DBZROCKS 01:46, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
What???? What happened with all that "that name is too obscure" talk? How in the ---- did you get convinced? Was it the Viz manga name that upset you? Tell me, I am most curious. {^_^} ~I'm anonymous
I am still awaiting on that above response by the way. You, on the other hand, sort of convinced me to change it back to Pu'ar. Can you shed some info. as to why the other name "sounds good" all of a sudden? ~I'm anonymous
Well my thought is consistancy and I know that the redirects would be a pain to fix so I went to keep it like that until i can get an admin to change it. Sorry for the confusion. DBZROCKS 12:23, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I told you that I'd be more than happy to change it. All I need is your "okay" on this. May I? ~I'm anonymous
Yes. DBZROCKS 12:37, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
You should stop hiding things from me, you know. You simply could have told me that before. Now before I do it, there's one thing I have to do first to Majin Buu. ~I'm anonymous
I have to leave for work now, I promise I'll fix up all the Pu-erh to Pu'ar things as soon as I return. Bye. ~I'm anonymous

okay

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:DBZROCKS&action=edit&section=8 how is that forum site irrelevant? It was from Atari. They produce the games. Did you at least look at the link? I apologize on the blackman34 was here sign. That was immature. You kept on deleting The Atari DBZ forum link and i put it back. I dont know why that forum link has to be deleted but on other dbz links it is still there. It is not advertisement. Im telling you i put two links there the site and the forum. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackman34 (talkcontribs)

Yes but there are no forum links allowed here. Also I did look at the link. Two you did delete that Gamespot link. DBZROCKS 22:20, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
okay while you are at it delete the other forum links at the other dbz games. To me no forums allowed makes no sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackman34 (talkcontribs)
All external links must be trustworthy and accountable and not contain unsourced claims. Forums are full of unsourced claims. DBZROCKS 22:45, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
did you at least look at the sticky that said baker011:Community Manager:(Atari, Inc. Employee) Ciel:Administrator(Atari, Inc. Employee) you are basically saying an Atari employee's claims are not trustworthy. they also had new screenshots. if you want to stll disagree with me fine.

can you put the link that says no forums allowed on my talk page? i dont feel like reading through all of that lol. They rarely put any speculationson that forum site. All we do is put suggestions, put links that we find there, if we tell people there that it a fake we inform them that, and i really want to see u say that to them. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackman34 (talkcontribs)
There is no foruming allowed on wikipedia. Doing so is talk page abuse. DBZROCKS 23:36, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

About Majin Buu and Pu-erh

I reverted your last edit to Majin Buu. Look at the main differences between "supervillain" and "villain":

Supervillain - "...supervillains are often used as foils to superheroes and other fictional heroes. Their extraordinary brainpower, superhuman abilities, or sheer ambition make them viable antagonists for the most gifted heroes."

Villain - "...an "evil" character in a story, whether an historical narrative or, especially, a work of fiction. The villain is the bad guy or heavy, the characters who fight against the hero."

No where in villain does it say extraordinary brainpower, superhuman abilities, or sheer ambition, does it?

Another thing, if you use google toolbar (or something else sophisticated); type "anime" in the white empty box on the very left and click the highlight button on the very right; you'll see plenty of "anime" references in the article as well.

You were painsfully told many times by me to always check the page/histories before making potentially controversial edits. This is your last chance. Do these unecessary edits once again and I'll comment about you on WP:AN/I. I have plenty if diffs to show for it.
I shall personally change the "Pu-erh" to "Pu'ar" edits now, not because I had originally changed it, but recently realized the Asian writing. For future reference, do not ever accuse me again of changing names, I'm quite doing the opposite as will be seen. You've been warned. ~I'm anonymous

What is up with you nagging me about histories? I missed the mark twice and you don't seem to be able to get over it, if you need an apology then I am sorry. However do not go to my talk page and threaten to report me instead of talking it out like normal people. No one is perfect. On your edit to Majin Buu I am going to revert it due to the way you did the references. But I will change Villan To Supervillan due to this dussussion. DBZROCKS 01:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

I wasn't "nagging" about anything. It's that you were told already to check edits before you made them and yet you haven't done that. I am not looking for an apology from you, just check your edits man, that's it. Also I didn't "threaten" you of anything. I was deciding on requesting comment on your actions; you might improve on your edits if such a thing occurred. I'm not sure what you mean about the references, I told you that there was anime episodes stuff in the article too and not "just manga" as you said. Your response? ~I'm anonymous
There are no anime sources only manga, adding that will potentially confuse readers. DBZROCKS 01:42, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

See these couple of sections:

Origin "In the anime, 12 Galaxies were destroyed by Buu ..."

Forms and transformations "'While not in the original manga or anime, the fourth Daizenshuu ..."

Super Buu - "Majin Buu (Evil) + Piccolo/Gotenks", "Buu-tenks"
"In the manga and anime this is the first stage ..."

Super Buu - "Majin Buu (Evil) + Piccolo/Goten/Trunks", "Buu-colo"
"briefly in a few panels of the manga and an anime flashback, the original Buu ..."

Majuub - "The name "Majuub" is not used in the original version of the anime or the Blue Water dub. ..."

What-Ifs "...was portrayed in exclusive absorptions never seen in the anime nor manga: ..."

Believe it or not — those are anime references — they're just not made into <ref> </ref> as they should. Could you please revert back to my version now? Also, the "What-Ifs" section should be spelled "What-ifs", per proper capitalizations. I had that right too, man. ~I'm anonymous
Fixed DBZROCKS 02:01, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
I corrected your grammer there on Buu. Cheers! ~I'm anonymous
Actually, Toriyama is a fan of Disney, he even says so in the DB manga. I could look for it if you'd like and replace that content you removed earlier, then ref it. What do you think? ~I'm anonymous
Give me a reliable source first then add it back and ref it. PS:check out my new sig DBZROCKSIts over 9000!!! 02:17, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
I-I'll give it tommorrow... WAY TOO MANY volumes and I'm tired. What I can do is fix those Pu-erh redirects, then sleep. ~I'm anonymous

Did a few fixes in the Buu article. So much opinionated research was in the Cinderella reference. About the sources section, its out. Forget about puttin' it back in the article. It's uneeded, plus most of the sources are in the refs anyways, right? ~I'm anonymous

You undid all of the other edits. Don't do that. See WP:Citing_sources#How_to_cite_sources. ~I'm anonymous

Okay, this has to stop. What is with you, dude? Most of the sources are given in the notes and refs section. There's no need for that section. Plus, I gave you my reasons. ~I'm anonymous
Great. The page was completely protected — I think that from now on, since we're both fans of the character, we should talk about what will be changed and what stays. Understood? ~I'm anonymous
I said that because it is no different than someone who reverts a ton of useful edits by another user that corrected an abundance of things on that page. What are you talking about "Majin" edits? I removed the uneeded crufty information that was not sourced. ~I'm anonymous
I didn't remove any of that part, as you can see. ~I'm anonymous

Quote: "I have issues with your deletion of the link to Dragon Ball changing of the meaning Majin..." — Care to explain? I don't have a clue what that comment meant. ~I'm anonymous

Are you going to continue to ignore me? See Deskana's talk page ASAP. ~I'm anonymous

I meant ignoring me from last night when you never responded back. I doubt you take night classes, since you claim to be 13. ~I'm anonymous

Vegeta's out of universe help

Hey man sorry it took me so long to write you but your welcome about the SSJ2 Vegeta thing. But to my question of help. I read somewhere, I can't remember where but I believe it was Shonen Jump that Akira Toriyama had based Vegeta off american culture. This was explained by Vegeta's later uses of English worded attack like Final Flash and Big Bang begin more english oriented rather than Japanese oriented. If possible can you help me out in finding out the source of this. I may have read it on the internet. I am not completely sure but I did read it somewhere. If you can't I understand but thank anyway. Heat P

I read an interview, and I cant remember if it was in Shonen Jump or if it was the translation of the Shenron Times interview (which was alongside One Piece's creator) but he said something on that. He was slightly coy on the matter, but said something like that's why Vegeta's attacks are in English, but Piccolo's are in kanji. Hope that helps at all. I'll try and find the interview. Onikage725 10:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Chi/Ki discussion

Sorry for taking so long to respond as well, I've had my broadband line switched over and I've been rewiring my living room so I've been offline a while. Anyway where is this dsicussion and what have I missed? Also looking at the two above comments, Paikuhan's main attack is called "Thunder Clasp" so Vegeta's not the only one. I don't know if it's basing the characters on American culture, or if it's just the use of English-sounding names to make the attacks sound more "exotic" to a Japanese audience. -Kain 01:40, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
