Adoption edit

Have you ever considered adoption? We currently have a backlog of 26 adoptees. No pressure, but I know you're experienced enough to adopt if you wished to. --Cameron* 12:08, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

RfA concerns edit

Hello! I couldn't help but notice your contact to a bureaucrat regarding an ongoing RfA. If it is my RfA, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you either openly in these pages or privately via e-mail, or even by telephone. Thanks. Ecoleetage (talk) 22:52, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I just sent an email to you. Feel free to respond at your earliest convenience. I will answer any and all questions you may have. Ecoleetage (talk) 22:57, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Medrevise edit

Hey there. I understand, and im not planning to use wikipedia articles as an advertisement for our wiki, which is what that page you directed me too seemed to be about.

I am simply contacting active medical contributors once, in order to tell them of our project, and see if they are interested. I will not message anyone after this, but it seemed a great way of contacting people who are clearly interested in contributing to free opensource GPLed medical knowledge on the web.

I love wikipedia, and i am very interested in the new Wikiversity site, but both are currently aimed at much too high an information level for basic medical revision. MedRevise (talk) 18:30, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

You need userbox help? edit

Dear Cyclonenim...I need the specifications of the user box you require. From what you have told me so far, I take it that this box will be used on talk pages to generate messages to users. What I need to know is the list of parameters, or if you just want something extremely general. Also, what is the name of this proposed template? That will do me a lot of good to know what you want. Hope to hear back from you soon. LA @ 06:26, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Give it a try, {{User:UBX/improvepage|article name}}. LA @ 08:57, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
You are welcome, have fun. LA (If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page.) @ 09:08, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Heya. I know you meant well here, but I undid your close and reopened the discussion. First off, only administrators can close a debate as delete...this lets them...well, actually delete the article. The way you closed it, people would assume that everything that needed to be done was done...you should also clearly note when you do a non-admin close. Second, since you participated in the discussion, you should not have closed it. That's all. --UsaSatsui (talk) 09:01, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • I did tag the redirect as a speedy delete, too. --UsaSatsui (talk) 09:04, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

My RFA edit

Thanks for voting on my RFA, although it was unsuccessful, I do appreciate the feedback - even if it was just a “screw-it-support” :). Thanks for the “Good luck” comment also!--danielfolsom 02:47, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ready soon edit

Hi, Thriller (album) passed it's FA review so I'm ready to go onto Vitiligo soon. I'm also trying to get D.S. (song) through to GA at the moment, a very odd article, not really notable for the music itself, rather the connection. It will be a few weeks before I go back to university to get access to medical books, so I'll be using web links until then? Lol, I've never read a medical book since I study law. — Realist2 01:31, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey mentor, edit

I'm getting along well, thanks. There are still some things that I'm unsure about, though. For example, when I come across vandalism and undo it, should I leave a warning on the person's talk page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ships at a Distance (talkcontribs) 16:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I keep seeing people with lots of warnings that go back for months, but their IP or account still isn't blocked. Is there a time limit on warnings or something? And can only administrators block them? --Ships at a Distance (talk) 20:07, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

Thanks for adopting me. I am surprised it happened so fast. I do have a question about the codes such as what sometimes appear on articles that need to be improved, and also what is on User Pages. I think they are called "user boxes". I do not know much about all of this and if there are any pages listing all the boxes I don't know where to look for them. Your work here, including your talk page, is very impressive, which makes me even more confused on how you are able to do all of that.

I have no objections, whatsoever. It's always nice when someone whose contributions you admire happens to agree with you about something. --Dweller (talk) 16:06, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

RE: Talk page formatting edit

Absolutely not a problem. The page looks a little busy for my liking, to be honest, you could use {{hidden}} to solve that... I'll have a shot at fixing that bug too. Laters, weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 19:14, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, you need to have 1= and 2= for some reason, like this:
Testing

I'm a student from Nottingham, United Kingdom. You can see a picture of me to your left! I will be applying Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry to study medicine in a few months (or failing that a neuroscientist). However, as of yet, I'm still a layperson studying biology, chemistry and physics at college. I'm a Christian. Quite frankly, I love music and I play the guitar (acoustic, bass and electric) pretty much every day. I'm also pretty interested in parkour, photography and drama. As should be expected from a prospective doctor, I'm trained in first aid and also in deaf and blind communication. I volunteer regularly at my local Oxfam shop and always try my best to give advice to anyone who needs it. I'm aware this is starting to read like a personal statement for a university application, so I'll end it here!
Hope this helps you. weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 05:59, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
