About the article Pillai's in Kerala

So you are here referring to Nayar Pillai as Vellala Pillai's. Nayar Pillai's were clearly distinguishable from Vellalars from the early modern period. Vellalar's were known by Kanaka Pillai and are distinguished by their traditions and their cultures. It was a bad move to add Thurston's Castes and Tribes of Southern India, as it is a caste-related article and was debated enough long back and concluded as an unreliable British source with discrepancies. @Outlander07:, Hello, I’ve added more references. There was an initial wave of Vellalar Chiefs in the medieval period when Kerala was under the Tamil Moovendars, who including the early and Kongu Cheras has their base in Tamil Nadu. Even the Chera Perumals brought Vellalars to administer. These Tamil Vellalar chiefs became the top echleon of nairs belonging to the Kiriyath group after the Cheras fell. There was continued migration of other Tamil Vellalar groups subsequently till the 19th century who naturalised as Nairs. And surprisingly most of the examples were of them naturalising as high ranking Nairs.Cyberanthropologist (talk) 06:05, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Quora answers are individual opinions it cannot be considered in wikipedia, Infact under the same answer another Quoran Anusha Hegde has mentioned the illegal practice some bunts are doing by mentioning their caste as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nador_(caste) which has nothing to do with Bunt-Nadava caste to avail OBC reservation.
