Hello, I'm Some Dude From North Carolina. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Armageddon Time, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 16:50, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

The source is the movie database Imdb. Please revert and add the actor. ContributeFacts2022 (talk) 16:52, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Imdb isn't allowed as a source per our rule against self-published sources. Also, we generally only list items in a list that already discussed in a standalone article per this advice to "write the article first". Chris Troutman (talk) 17:30, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Where are you getting source for the others listed as there are no articles on those others that you approved the add? What can be added as a source if the only source is the industry database? One of those or two which are listed are not in any publications stating they are in the cast. ContributeFacts2022 (talk) 17:32, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I removed the non-notable names; we are in a constant struggle against vandals, cranks, and self-interested editors on articles like these, so often most articles look like garbage and you can't take what you see to be the allowable standard. If an actor's appearance in a production were notable, we might find mention in sources like Variety or The Hollywood Reporter. If there aren't any other sources then their appearance isn't worth mentioning because everything must be verifiable. Chris Troutman (talk) 17:39, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
It is OK. You are unfamiliar with the industry and it is understandable. I understand the COI aspect as a business associate so we will let the PR reps adjust after May but I appreciate you trying to keep vandals off the wiki. You should. Cheers. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, ContributeFacts2022. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Armageddon Time, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 17:32, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

So we cannot add real facts unless we are someone who has no connection to it? I see. Thanks for clarifying that. ContributeFacts2022 (talk) 17:34, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
You admit you have a conflict of interest and now you're trying to hide that. Instead, please be totally forthcoming with who your clients are as you edit here. Otherwise, you might be blocked. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:45, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

What are you talking about? Do you mean because I’m in process of updating my profile with better accuracy? If there is a conflict of interest I’d have no problem noting it and as of today there’s none. I no longer service clients. Please try not to insinuate or accuse. I know you’ve been doing this 10 years but I’m new to it so allow some of us to learn by doing or advising. If there’s anything not factual that I would contribute then I’d absolutely expect to be blocked since I value and rely on this site for accurate data. Thus far, however, everything has been factual that has been submitted (if and when I do ) I’m very novice to it all . Thank you ContributeFacts2022 (talk) 17:47, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
